A New Mod that replaces all Player and opponent Cars with Tier 5 and 6 Cars (The fastest) Extreme Difficulty in NFS The Run today! www.twitch.tv/kuruhs
NFS 2015 had the perfect atmosphere, awesome graphics and a solid soundtrack. It's a shame Ghost messed up pretty much every other aspect of the game. Such wasted potential.
@Hydra27 you definitely didn't hear this soundtrack. While not at the level of Ug1, it definitely fits with the atmosphere and it also makes you wanna go fast. Beat of all is that it also uses certain old Nfs songs such as "I am rock", so saying that it isn't good is kinda dumb.
I love that this game had a distinct visual direction that made it feel a lot like what my brain remembers U2 looking like. The graphics aren't amazing, but the stylistic choice does more than enough leg work. As graphics have gotten better we have seen a decline in interesting style since the PS1 era.
I think I’m glad they didn’t stick with the flooding at night time aesthetic, it would get very tiring if every installment looked the same, but slightly better. I think the visual direction changes they took with later installments was good
This game being 50GB+ less and still looking better than Unbound is why graphics direction is VERY important. 2015 is one of the few games that proves that baked lighting with visual noises when done right beats dynamic lighting with clear and detailed visuals.
I don't know if I call it BETTER. Unbound have a incredible graphic, specially in climates like 2015 (rain and stuff). I just think the VIBES are different, very different. The texture size 2015 uses is way lower than unbound's but nobody can deny that they did a great job with the limitations of 2015 and the game is not even very demanding! Now, for me, a guy that play both games (and likes 2015's vibes way more), I think Unbound was made for another completely different audience, so no street racing vibes at all. Things changes a lot when you disable that annoying "artistic effects" and uses some mods to have more rain in other different days of time (game has like 5 or 6) and THEN i started enjoying as a serious game. Rain, road reflections, no effects and 4K. Both games are beautiful in their own ways...BUT TURN THAT FREAKING EFFECTS OFF!
I enjoyed 2015 ! Handling was odd but I could manage it maybe 80% of the time. I loved the night only racing. I liked the cheesy cutscenes. I wish the game was less “happy” though. They had a great opportunity to make a darker story line which would’ve matched the game more . Overall I think it’ll stay one of my top 5 NFS games .
I actually liked the drifting, it was the damn time attack events that were impossible. One lap the AI were 5 seconds behind my fastest time, the next they go 8 seconds faster than me. I took every shortcut under the lack of a sun, often ended up pushing the car to the limits of the road, and still got screwed over plenty of times.
Yeah, it really felt like the story was going to take a bit of a darker turn. If nothing else, there was some jealousy issues between a couple of the characters that I thought was gonna get fleshed out, but there were some other twists I was expecting that never happened. The story just...ended. As far as the story being cheesy and cringe, let's be real, the scene can be cheesy and cringe sometimes. I feel that just added to the realism that this game nailed.
Removing BTD like Unite does will always be slower than stock handling, and it's an inherent issue with the game: when you exit the drift, you get an instant speed boost, that's equal to the speed you entered the drift with. Since this mechanic is gone with BTD disabled, it means that gripping will always be slower, because then the car will accelerate normally at the corner exit. That's why starter cars with no BTD are too slow, the game is basically built around vanilla BTD, which is essentially cheating.
Game was absolutely beautiful even now it's perfect screenshot material. With good event variety, all it needed was fun driving physics and these mods both handle that. May draw strange reactions but I think that modded 2015 is the best Need for Speed since black box died. I still remember being absolutely peeved on release when in my eyes the game was incredibly cool to experience but you simply couldn't enjoy actually playing it with the Ghost handling. Great to see how they saved it.
I have to say Kuru, I hated NFS 2015 when it came out, it took 3 years alright, but I learned to love this game, I've had some experience with Burnout Paradise drifting and realised it wasn't much of a difference, I kinda like it now. And I gotta say, 2015 is the best looking NFS game ever by far, and I've played Payback, Heat and Undound, somehow they look really crappy except for the cars. Ghost games nailed in overall aesthetics, setting and feeling, you can simply park your car, turn your engine off and listen to the rain and sometimes the other AI racers fleeing from the cops, it's just magnificent.
Like with more of Ghost Games's titles, it had a lot of wasted potential (especially in the handling department...), but it did capture a good atmosphere and graphical fidelity! ~mrxbas
One problem about this game is there are less race events and more drift events, basically the game focused on drifting rather than racing because I can tell they do this on purpose so that the player can experience the new handling model, but it failed.
I remember doing the 10 hour trial without paying for anything and man.. I dunno what happened back then, but my r9 280x struggled to run it so after an hour of 20-28 FPS i surrendered.
I believe the physics are not fixable because of an engine the game is run on. It's Frostbite, which is for FPS games. Same situation as with Payday 2, which is run on Diesel Engine designed under racing games.
I pre-ordered 2015 and loved it other than it being too easy (the magnus walker race was super hard compared to the rest of the game tho). Never had a problem with handling just felt to short because of the difficulty
Yeah, drifting is honestly pretty satisfying to me & easy. However, it's not consistent since it depends on the car because a lot of the cars are God awful. But with cars such as the FD & R32 it feels so good to drift.
was a pig with lipstick. I remember playing it and loving how it looked even on xbox but the gameplay, story, handling It was the biggest disappointment. So much so that Payback was the first NFS I skipped since the series became a thing in 94-95.
I was only 15 when this game was finally revealed . Saw the teaser trailer ofc, & i was like holy cow, The illegal atmosphere is back, but when i realized how broken it was, im like damn
The race is doable quite easy if you get the good tires and suspension. The handbrake, you need to get the adjustable one and make it stronger so it actually does something, the weaker handbrake is good for transitions of drift.
I don't get it, when I played it ~2 years ago as a racing game noob, I had no problems with the drifting. I just used the Initial D car and dominated every event, even the 1 multiplayer match I managed to find. Maybe they improved it since launch, or maybe the Trueno is just really OP.
This game was really fun back then when i played it in 2017... until I started to fall through the map while going really fast. That was when i played it on an HDD in my laptop. Got a new PC with SSD. Same thing happened. That really turned me off from the game completely, despite the beautiful graphics.
This was the perfect atmosphere for underground 3 but with a better story line and outrageous customization options for everything. We deserve underground 3 already. Come on EA you know we want it.
My first honest experience with the game was me enjoying it. However, it was only after giving it a solid month or two of playtime where I started noticing all the flaws after the initial magic wore off. From the always online requirement, weird physics and collision bugs, and the awkward handling at times amongst other things. I gave up on the game after getting the cars I want and maximizing their performance. Still, it was fun though when I discovered that the 32 Ford in the game has a weird physics bug where in if you drift in a circle for a good while and exit it, your car will gain rocket speed.
Sorry but I don't agree that it "doesn't matter that you pull the regular brake to drift" The problem with that is, you can't just normally brake anymore. It removes actual skill from using proper braking etiquette for racing. Same with the nonsense that Heat had, where you tap the gas twice to initiate a drift, meaning that every time I let go of the gas to follow the corner and then press the gas again halfway through, suddenly I drift without wanting to Drifting should only ever be initiated via handbrake, weight shift or if they want, via kicking the clutch to temporarily raise the RPMs which in turn makes the tires lose traction when they suddenly have to spin way faster after you let go of the clutch Brake and Throttle should just do that, either slow the car down or speed it up.
My favorite thing so far going into this with the NFS modding community, is how you’re allowed to select which mods you want on and off at the same time. So I’ve been playing the game with UNITE physics with Remastered graphics
When I first played this game I got really into it and grinded out the content and new content, trying new cars, waiting for updates. I ended up getting bored of grinding the drift races and uninstalled it a few years ago, a year ago I tried it again and uninstalled again.
Guys just remmember one thing xd kuru said in some pepega nfsmw 2005 (if u remaster this im quitting need for speed im quitting streaming im out of here) he said that when he saw the buildboard in nfsmw pepega just remmember xd
edit: apparently I didn't play the latest version if you spend about 10 minutes in the tuning menu for your car with the Unite mod you can dial it pretty darn well. Once I did that the game was an utter cake walk, especially the drift events since it was so easy to hold long slides. Unites biggest issue for me was the AI didn't get a boost in speed to make up for the player being faster with the mod
Indeed, nfs heat suffers from the same issue, fully upgraded vehicles that can also corner very well given the semi slick racing tires that are insane in cornering makes 1,2,3,4 even 5km distance from the 2nd place quite easy to achieve even in the 400 race events
Had the 10h test Version in Origin and uninstalled that crappy game twice. First time because I couldn't use my trusty old Logitech Rumble Pad 2 because only Xinput bullshit. And years later when I've finally had a Xinput Gamepad, I ragequit and instantely uninstalled after like 1.5h... Not because of the handling, but because of the cringe story, the unskippable cutscenes and MOSTLY because the constant calls you get permanentely. I couldn't stand it. It's so freaking annoying... just let me drive in a racing game, I don't wanna build a relationship with made-up cringy losers. Some interaction is fine, like in most wanted or ug2, but I thought I'm playing "Front desk of a big company simulator 3000" or something. Fun Fact: My ragequit took a bit longer to do, since those idiots didn't let me Alt+F4 it (I wonder why...), but rest assured, I killed it with the Task Manager because my pride forbid me to close that piece of crap game properly.
They spent 2 years making this huh?…. They should’ve known that the supra had 276 hp to begin with so why do we start with like 220? Also do they research the modifications and average gains from each… I doubt it…. The AI is trash 🚮 the physics are trash but I haven’t missed a need for speed in my life the one on my phone is better than this game to be honest 🤷♂️
The only thing is somewhat good about the game is the hype (that doesn't match with gameplay at all) and graphics, the handling was so weird and everything was drifting, drifting is even more weird especially the kenblock's car, the cop chase was terribly awful, upgrades are okayish and tuning is okayish too, cars collection is not big and lots of iconic cars are missing, and a limited garage capacity?? For real... The story is happy friendly, not a real story tbh
Can I pick-and-choose the features? I like the crash cutscenes because, in any game, I always try to prioritize not crashing over being fast. I like it when there's a severe penalty for crashing into traffic.
Same! As someone who used to play the golden age BB NFS games, and now alternates between NFS 2015, FH4, and BeamNG, I really like the crash cutscenes. I mean the whole game's physics are based around not hitting walls - especially with the focus on drift events - so it fits in with the general design philosophy, too. In general, whenever I touch a wall and the game doesn't crash me, I consider it forgiving, rather than considering the times where it does crash me as punishing.
Hated its handling, hated online mode, hated that road ahead so hard to see and without arrow on the ground you practically has no chanses at high speeds.
I seem to remember the main conplaint I heard for the handling was the random twitching at highs speeds. Like brother, you try going 250 on a public road and see just how much work you gotta put in to make the car stay straight over all the bumps and dips.
It's not just twitching, downforce is insane in the mods that and also steering delay, nfs payback unite 1.0 had this issue and I absolutely hated it, racing was a nono for me especially after hitting 300km/h or 180mp/h the delay was half a second, it made racing impossible
I enjoyed the game at release and I'm asking myself how, because when I tried play it last few days ago I was pissed off at every aspect of the game XD
@@KuruHS Yeah, and maybe I wasn't playing much racing games back then. Yeah I'm pretty sure I was mostly playing FPS games and wanted check out something new from arcade racing series. Also I just got used to driving mechanics when now I jumped from Forza Horizon 5 to NFS 2015 and couldn't get used to it.
@@JustMartha07 I understand how it is I bought a PS3 2 years ago and in 1 of those 2 years I spent playing only Gran Turismo 6 then last month I decided to play NFS Rivals the game is beautiful and everything else in the end I didn't adapt to handling the vehicles I wait an hour to get the hang of everything in the game works because I loved the game map and found the fdrift satisfactory
the cops are pretty close to real life , with low heat levels, they weren't aggressive until u reached a high heat level . I hate cops that are way too aggressive trying to kill you every second on low heat levels .
5:25 My first impression was "holy fucking shit NFS is finally back". And it stayed like that all throughout the game. I liked the vibe, i liked the full motion cutscenes, i liked the cringe, i liked EVERYTHING. If i were to make a top 5 of the best NFS games i ever played, it would be: 1. NFS Pro Street 2. NFS Underground 3. NFS 2015 4. NFS Underground 2 5. NFS Most Wanted NFS 2015 was the first NFS game i bought since Pro Street. Also the last NFS game i bought. The 3$ NFS Heat doesn't really count. That was straight garbage. Unbound is probably the worst one so far. Shit setting, shit story, shit characters, shit visual style, shit literally everything... And ESPECIALLY shit music. Safe to say that i'll be skipping that one.
At the time of release of this game, EA wasn't in a good place with gamers... so didn't bother to try this game. Recently I bought it for like 5 bucks 😅 and it's a ok game on console, but the worst aspect is this shity " always on-line " aspect. This literally means that you can't play the game, you bought, whenever you want... The crew 2 has the same problem, I bought it to check it out and.... well, no internet connection? No game for you buddy 🙄
5:20, like some other folks, i played it for like 30min then i dipped. i also forgot to refund it oh well. i was so uninterested with the game, the cutscene is so cringe maybe because they are using real life actors, the handling feels so weird like chewing gum is stuck on your wheel or something. I tried to come back to play but i just gave up. Then I bought NFS Heat and everything just became better. I played Heat all the fcking time ( well until i was done with the main campaign and side missions ) and man it was enjoyable af. Too bad NFS Heat doesnt have cloud saves.
so disappointed i couldnt get FMM to work with mods, got it to where it would finally boot a game but none of the mods worked and my performance was tanked. ontop of the stupid controller issues as well. EA....
When I first played this game I was beyond disappointed, the handling of the original game was pure garbo, those bloody walls and the random bouncing when you slightly run over the sidewalk made me want to shoot my ps4 with a shootgun.
I usually try to remain as neutral and try to seek any good aspect out of a horrible game. But this, being the first NFS I actually purchased myself, is the biggest disappointment, like ever, so bad that this is the first and only game that I rage uninstall. Also, even till this day, I still don't get the whole idea of this game having good atmosphere and looking good. To me it just looks all dark and uninteresting.
biggest gripe with NFS since 2015 was always how slow and heavy everything felt amd how little control the player has over the car, especially in comparison to Forza horizon which was still fun back then, unlike nowadays... i will check out remastered once baldurs gate loosens its addictive grip over me 😅
2015 was the last good modern nfs game. the music was great. graphics were awesome. customisation was peak. tuning was amazing. physics were good. people complain cus they dont know how to tune their cars. this was peak
how to fix the problem that when i open the game my throttle is stuck and car keeps accelerating and language turn to ukrainian oh and my save got deleted
ah in 2015 i got so hype for this game got it on day one chatting to the guy while paying how ive waited for a good need for speed got home played a night of it (if that) thought ah EA how you've lost your way and fucked it up again the handling is fucking beyond a joke when the car tries to steer the other way in a drift and trying to hold my hand that pisses me off to no end, i keep every game and honestly can not remember the last game i returned but THIS game was that fucking shit i went back got to the counter to the SAME guy and he asked how it was i replied "its that shit i want a refund and i never return games" he refunded me and i havent spent money on a need for speed since XD
