Reference is made to noxiceptors (nociceptors), Reciprocal Innervation, ipsilateral flexion, and contralateral extension. You explained that so much more in depth than my professor. While watching your video, I kept thinking, "That is some cool stuff going on there!" Those were not the exact words in my head, but regardless, I was pretty impressed. Too cool!

Brilliant. Uni always have to over complicate the most simplest of explanations. This way (your videos) anyone can learn efficiently and confidently.

Thank you so much for your so clear and knowledgeable explanations. :) One question: is ti OK to say that extensor muscles contract? Or should we better say that they stretch? :) (In 7:41 you say that the flexion of an affected limb implies two processes, namely, stimulation of the flexor muscles to contract and prevention of the extensor muscles to contract).
@professorfink

Flexion of the injured limb requires: [1] contraction of the flexor muscle AND [2] relaxation (& "passive stretching") of the opposing extensor muscle.
