Anthony, I don't know how I missed this video, but, I just ran across it today. I love the way you tell your story. And I totally agree with you about the type of demeanor to have when being an activist. I am so sorry that you lost your wife due to this dreadful religion. How sad! 😩 I totally feel the same way you felt about someone trying to study with you after ALL the years you had been in the religion. 🤔 When my husband and I were trying to fade, this sister in our congregation that I greeted at the door as an interested Bible study just a few years prior, was now trying to encourage me to go out in field service. Unbeknownst to her, we were trying to get out of there without being disfellowshipped. 😬 Anyway, good point about their desire to reprogram you because that is EXACTLY what they are doing. The internet has proven to be a very powerful tool for people trying to disconnect from religious cults. I'm sure that Watchtower has very strict teachings when it comes to internet use. Thank you for sharing your story and doing what you do, Anthony.
Thanks for sharing your story. I've just stopped going to the meetings in the last 4 weeks due to objective thinking. What you say about suspicion is bang on I must be either, thinking, Apostate or sinning according to the emails/texts I am getting. My JW family are rolling out the standard comments "there is nothing better out there", The end is coming & I will die & my son to he's 11 & comes under my umbrella. It's crazy! It's literally in or out. Keep posting please your stories count! 😌
BEWARE A WARNING FOR ALL EX JWS ; ROBERT SKYNNER TARGETS EX JWS ; I did a video which said I bore no ill feeling towards Robert Skynner of Christian Comedy Channel BEFORE I was advised to speak with the Police. During my interview with them I was convicted that I had actually been a victim of a conman. THE POLICE TOLD ME ; Con men like Robert do not break the law as they prey on the vulnerabilities and emotions of others. The Police deal with many just like him. They offered me victim support as I was in pieces after they saw the "highly manipulative "letters Robert posted to me some of which they perceived as "threatening" . Sadly there was little they could do except issue Robert with an official warning ( posted on my channel ) . As a Christian I did all I could to help him completely taken in by numerous lies as was Mark Fox. That poor guy is on Morphine due to a degenerative bone disorder yet he still went out to work and tried to support Robert Skynner financially over months in addition to raising his own family. His ministry lies in tatters as his pain at being publically called a conman and thief by Robert has devastated him. You can clearly see Robert do this on the video I uploaded. AFTER speaking to the Police they advised me to publicise what has happened and warn others hence my videos. I will be doing another updating the situation. Whilst I bear Robert no ill will I am having great difficulty coming to terms with the lies he told Mark Fox and others about me, after a huge amount of emotional support , financial assistance given to Robert I am £5000 poorer and broken . I can't believe all the Police told me but know their words were true. I have been the victim of a major conman . Please don't tell me I haven't or my words are hearsay I have provided the evidence, have contacted the Police and apart from offering me victim support and issuing Robert with an official Police warning they can't do anything because lying, manipulation, and preying upon vulnerable people is not against the law. PLEASE BE CAREFUL HE IS VERY GOOD AT GROOMING HIS VICTIMS AND I DON'T WANT TO SEE YOU AS A VICTIM AS MANY HAVE BEEN. Robert is trying to set himself up as a counter cult expert yet to date has brought no one out of the JWs and has only been witnessing to JWs regularly for less than a year ! He has all of the symptoms of a Narcissistic personality disorder details of which I've included on the " Robert Skynner , Liar and Con man of Christian Comedy Channel " playlist.

Good for you for waking up. Jesus said to drink the wine and do it in memory of him and what he has done for us. JW's say no you can't have it unless your a special class. That is not what Jesus said. You can do it at home anytime. I do it at home and pray to Jesus thanking him for his sacrifice.
You have gone through a lot.......I escaped in 1993 after 25 years.....drifted into sin over next 18 years,then for no readon on my part I was Born Again.....the scars remain but I now have peace.......no koala hugging for me.....A crown in heaven awaits those in Christ....wow

I have repeatedly heard of your sites and of you yourself as I've been learning the actual "truth" about all the lies the JWs had programed into my mind since birth, and I Thank YOU and all the TRUE brothers and sisters I've found on line. I finally am coming to an understanding about why I've been feeling and living the way I have since leaving the JWs and the Watchtower Organization. Unfortunately I spent too many years studying with different religious organizations and finding nothing but fault in all of them, but not realizing that I hadn't spent ANY time doing even one tenth as much with Jehovahs Witnesses and the Watchtower. I feel that it had to be because of my own fear of going against what was beat(quite often literally) into me from birth about not questioning anything the Watchtower taught. Thanks to you and so many others here, I am finally gathering what I need to hold myself to what I tried to hold others to, or maybe it should be accountable for my anger and distrust... i noticed that you subscribe to Russian vids. Please watch the two videos on the introduction to free masonry, and then go watch a couple of videos on your subscription to jworg videos and pause and look at the rings on the governing body members fingers and the symbols on said rings. Also, check out the history of Russell/Rutherford and you will see that both were 33rd degree masons. This should really help in opening your eyes to the "truth" about Watchtower and the JWs. ☺
I have just listened to your talk. It was such an exact replica of my own experience over twenty five years that I was deeply moved. Even down to still believing what the witnesses believe. I lost my wife and four children because of the witnesses and their bullying and was given an Awake magazine to read as some sort of aid or compensation....I don't know which. I only hope that God is more merciful than his people. I too would not want to live in paradise with these people. Let us hope that God really is more merciful than these.
Dear brother, may Lord Jesus Christ heal your woulds that the Watchtower has inflicted on you. May Lord Jesus Christ remember you in His Kingdom to be with him which is what Paradise is about - being with Christ forever. We also disassociated in 2012. Feel your pain mate,just went through an unwanted divorce myself with emotionally catastrophic results therein,you will recover but I would seek professional support and guidance dealing with the grief which is what i'm doing. **update** now fully recovered from my divorce.When your 'dance card' is stamped by the Borg mate you might as well turn on your heels & walk out the door. I've spent decades in legal wrangles with them including me being granted legal aid here in the UK to fight them based on what the law stipulates.They are corrupt & their only interst is their corportate members plus their cosy 'chicken dinners'.

Well done on putting your story across so well. I have never been a JW, (though I did attend a kh once). But I had a door knocker call on me, and we discussed the JW doctrine, I was resistant (thankfully). Over time I looked into their beliefs and actually became a working spiritualist medium instead. These days I am atheist. But I am horrified at what the watchtower has done to people, and I continue to discover more horrors with videos like yours. I am slowly becoming an activist because I feel so sad for the damage the watchtower has done. I try where possible to provide public information to warn potential newcomers away from it. I hope you have found a new peace in your life.
thank you for sharing your long journey! I can relate to many of your feelings getting out while losing your wife and family. I am from the Netherlands and many of the practices in this organization and how elders abuse their power is certainly recognize from my experience. Despite the pain i felt I wouldn't like to miss all the learnings and personal growth that came to it. I am sure you will agree. All the best to you!

East of Eden. When they were divorcing I was just entering the 'lie'. In a short time I went from dedication & baptismal, to pioneering and a Ministerial servant in 3 short years and was accepted into Bethel where I worked for 2-1/2 years. When I went back to my birthplace, I was trying to become an Elder but thankfully in 2-1/2 years I realized this organization wasn't fulfilling my life with happiness and though I knew some teachings seemed off the mark I conveniently faded away into a happy relationship with someone for the past 15 years....don't give up friend!
Really enjoyed listening to your watchtower experiences Anthony, I don't normally listen for that long to ex witnesses experiences but I was captivated! You have been through so much pain but finally came through it thankfully. I hope that your life has improved and you have retained your exceptional spirituality.......that must be so or you wouldn't have kept hanging on and hanging on to something that you 'thought' at the time was the truth. It's good to talk about it (but don't bore people!) to explain your past e.g. "this is the first time I've sent a Christmas/ birthday card" etc There are groups on FB for discussion, but I wouldn't recommend them all. It took me about ten years to become "normal"! If you can afford it, counselling might be useful too.

I have listened more than once and can empathize with your pain through your experience, as I too have gone through similar... But like you I have come out the other side ( though I do have my moments) and like you I am still alive and kicking... I also believe we were not a million miles away geographically... They were stalwarts there until the 90,s when they too saw the light... They left the org. after decades of service.. They were quite a big story in that area when they departed as at least two of the family were elders... Glad you have recovered from those extremely difficult days you went through... I am angry again upon knowing what happened to you...it reminds me of myself being on that situation about 2 decades ago...when elders think they are invincible that whatever reasoning you have they won't listen...it's always one way. Sorry for what u went through. I studied with witnesses for 16 yrs. Never babtized. Because of my never being babtized i was being shun. It was so obvious. The last draw for me was when my bible person i studied with told me he can only study with me if i stoped taking a certain medication. I said to him. What! R u crazy. Jesuse would never walk away from anyone who is ill. He said himself he came for the sick. The sick need a physician. After this i started doing alot of research. Because of this. I was told never to look into other religions or ex witnesses web sites. Because they told me it was all bitter people who would obviously talk bad about them. So i felt how can i decide for myself who to follow if i dont look at others. I felt it wasnt right. But i didnt look at other sites while i studied with them. After what happen i started to look at ex witnesses sites. Im so happy i did. Becauze i found Raymond Franz story. All i know is by examining the scriptures with ex witnesses i found scriptures that showed me jesuse is the way n the truth. N other scriptures. Look the only way to god YEWE the father is through jesuse Christ not any human being.

People come out of the jworg. so spiritually beaten up and more lost then when they came in, that many never come to Christ as their Lord and Savior. There will be people who will be saved who will have only asked Jesus into their heart and never know the name of His Father, because salvation is not based on knowing what Jesus's Father name is , but in receiving His Son into your heart as your Lord and Savior and then Christ reveals His Father to you, and you come to know Him as a loving Father, to know God as a loving Father is so much more than just knowing what His name is.
I really enjoyed this video.... I'm going to jump straight into the next! I think it's far harder for those born into a JW family to leave the organisation, than those who have come to it as an adult, which was my case. The main reason why I left was quite simply that there had been so many instances of new light, in the 4 years I had been baptised, that I thought: "These people are making it up as they go along". Now, had I been brought up as a JW, like yourself, I realise that this awakening would have been a lot harder. Anyway, I like your attitude of empathy towards those who still believe - you have the right attitude.
excellent video, I was sooooo relieved when the brother exited safely with his family intact after the previous generation change. I was born in in 1984 (haha the irony) and left 2004 so I was still majorly in by the time this brother made his escape

Having power over men when the LORD wants a one on one relationship with you. Leading many astray and away from the true and living God with their made up traditions. The Watchtower Org. is all of the above. They are PROVEN FALSE PROPHETS. Many times have they given a prophecy and a date about the end and it didn't happen. Jesus warned about this. Many would come in HIS name. May you come out of it and be free. Only the Messiah Jesus can free you. Nothing else. Seek the LORD alone and not man. When you do that with a seeking heart... HE will answer you. My prayer for you is that you would never be deceived again. Blessings.
Anthony Roberts : Thank you for your videos. I've been watching (listening in the background) to many RU-vid videos lately. I was raised a witness and I left at the age of 20. I've only learned TTATT within the last year and a half. (I am 24.) I just wanna say that even though you think you made a terrible decision for yourself in going back to the organization as a young man, (17 I think you said you quit your job and went back fully into the fold) what you're doing now proves that it wasn't the wrong decision. Your life experience as a witness helped you to get to where you are today helping ppl to avoid the same traps. I am like you in my belief system, I wouldn't call myself a Christian, though. I love to think Jesus exists but I also just love to think. Philosophy is also fascinating to me. I have no basis for all of my beliefs, but in looking at mine and other ppls lives, I believe that the things we do are already chosen. It seems to me that before we are born, we choose the lessons we are going to learn for a reason. And you chose to be a witness for a reason, so that you could learn it's a falsehood and direct other ppl away from wasting their lives in this organization. Thank you for your wonderful videos. You seem like a very kind and well versed man, and therefore a perfect person to be useful in waking the witnesses up. I think your videos will make a huge impact on people. :)

It was good to see the testimony of a true man. The teachings of Jehovah's Witnesses had a great impact on me, too, but somehow I always felt the press for them to join. I still have to change my relationship with the Creator, but I hope it will be done.

You should be grateful that you have such a supporting wife who stands up for you and supports you. Many others would choose "jehovah" over their husbands.
Bless you brother, I have never been a JW , I am a researcher and has made a multi-part youtube video series showing JWs things that have been hidden from them, it is called "Hidden From Jehovahs witnesses" it will really help build your faith and show you that leaving the JWs was the right thing to do. I am aware of the invisible qualities of both right and wrong just as you do...........and aware of the so called wise who have risen ............solomon said" I have seen servants on horses and princes walking about the earth"
To her credit, she never went back, but unfortunately, she didn't really "deprogramme" from the Watchtower for many years, so she doesn't cope well with life on the outside, in "the world".

You have one of the more interesting ex jehovas wittness story I have heard so far. Many former jehovas wittneses focus a lot of time how terrible the shunning is when you get expelled or leave. Well they actually can and do shun people inside of their congregation and they can do that even if you are not guilty of anything. It's enough if they think you are spiritually weak or that you are related to someone considered spiritually weak like in case with your wife. I was personally very frozen out already as a child and it lead to that I was very inregular in service, nobody wanted to really go out to door to door with me and I tried to reach out to people I feelt I was closer too but not even them wanted to go out with me in service. I wanted out of this religion too but could not leave because I believed and I even wanted to kill myself but their teaching about how it would disgrace Jehovah stopped me from doing that. Later I meet my husband who was not a jehovas wittness ofcourse because I would never have been good enough for them. But we went to a convention in 2007 and the program was so weird so after that I didn't wanna be a jehovas wittnes anymore because I had promised myself I would leave if it got weird. I did believe after that as well but it went really fast after that I just stopped believing and now I'm not sure exactly how long it took, but it was under a month maybe even under a week. It feelt so good and this was something I had needed to do (stop believing) for a very long time. A lot of people say jehovas wittnesses are nice people but I can't say I think so about them. I'm happy with their shunning policy, I really don't wanna spend time with these judgemental people.
I have woken up and feeling scared cause o still in my way believe too, Bart hard to deal with this, what’s Jehovah thinking of me, but what dose he think of this organization, dose Jehovah still love me cause I snooped behind the curtain and found so much hypocrisy, I remember. A scripture from Jesus warning us about the truth and not to fear checking cause the truth is the truth and nothing could be found of this is the truth to be afraid to fi d. These are not the exact words. But the idea is there, plus the other scriptures jesus says that false prophets would come. D if they make claims of predictions not from Jehovah that they should die, and we have had many false teachings , I have to believe in Jehovah and Jesus, and know the Jehovah they teach todAy is not the Jehovah from the bible but one they made up. Jehovah loved us so much he gave us his son to die suffering to save us, and the compassion from Jesus is not what the g b follow, but there is still no where to go to worship Jehovah, lost and terrified thanks to the watchtpwets Interpetation of Armageddon I live in terror, I want to leave but thete nust gonn go in circles again that there is no where to go, I’m trying to handle this cause of family there’s gonna br apostate pointing and I’m scared , I need a way to worship Jehovah and not feR my loss of life. So it sounds like you're in the right place seeking God and his Son. Many things take a while to work out, so be patient and keep seeking. At least you are out and starting to actually think!

Another great video Anthony . After leaving the witnesses 30 years ago and still searching for the truth , I have come the conclusion that the Bible is a man made book , so I have no faith in anything . It's a shame because when I was in it ..for 35 years ...I had purpose and a direction , that's why people stay in it I think . I think it's funny that they put a book out called " The truth will make you free " and it sure does ...free from them .

Fran Morrison .. the Bible was written by lots of men ...why would I hang on to every verse and try to interpret the words into something meaningful for this century . Like they do for the Nostradamus prophecies .

Thanks for your kind words. But l was actually happy for her. The harm to us came about because of the Watchtower's influence on its followers, its false teaching and nasty unchristian policies.
The funny thing about JWs telling you that you can't get right with Jehovah is funny. Because who are they to say that you can't worship God anymore just because they are being rude and being jerks...
