You shall know the Truth and the Truth will set you free...may the Lord have mercy on you...

Cults die when their leaders die. Witness Lee never lead a cult. If he had, it would have fallen apart. Instead, this church life has continued strongly in fellowship and prayer, according to the letter of the Bible and not the words of a man. The Full Time Training has been an edifying experience for me, and I'm closer to the Lord than I ever have been. I'm free from Babylon in division, and I'll never go back. I can understand how some things may outwardly look cultish, but really that's mostly just a matter of opinion, and every rule serves a practical purpose. But that's trivial. The fact is that the ministry of Nee and Lee contains truth, and spiritual nourishment that you will not find elsewhere. You might have a problem with it, and that's your prerogative, but the ministry that most edifies those who receive it is true, and that's what we find here, whatever outward appearance may be. Look for the Christ within, not the practices without.

False. I will prove you wrong right here, right now. When Joseph Smith died, did Mormonism die? No! When Charles T. Russell died, did the Jehovah-less Witnesses fall apart? No! Your claim that the Local Churches couldn't be a cult because they're still around after Witness Lee is fallacious. This was Nee and Lee's cult, they died, and it's still a cult. Plain and simple.

Another case in point, L. Ron Hubbard is also long dead. Nobody would deny Scientology is a cult, excepting the brainwashed inside.

Lol. Nah, that’s obviously false. Your cult continues to abide by the teachings of witness lee, ignoring the true teachings of the lord Jesus..:.Your cults just like every other cult, your nothing special!...big mistake go to the full time training!!!!!!!! Your spiritual well-being will suffer, because your purely following what one has said. Classic cult formation

I was with this church between 2004-2008. I opened my home for friday night meetings and enjoyed the meetings for a few years. I then lost my job due to an illness and eventually lost my home in 2008. I tried to save my home by asking the church "sisters" for help, one was in real estate. I asked if they could help me rent it. I heard nothing from them, they all stopped coming and even stopped calling. I havent heard or seen them since. This cult is only their for their convenience, they are nothing to you once you have nothing to offer them.

That is so sad. I'm sorry to hear that you had to go through that. Your last sentence is so, so true. That is exactly my experience with them. If you are young, and/or have money, time, or other things/people to offer them for the furtherance of their agenda, then they will love bomb you and be the nicest people in the world to you. But if you are no longer a good prospect for their agenda (aka if you are not good "building material"), then you mean nothing to them, and they show their true colors, which are majorly lacking in charity and natural affection. Many other people have experienced this from the cult, and many more will. God bless.

This is why I cannot stand it when they persuade me to the full-time training

I can't stand it, either. It is evil, and is Satan's way of brainwashing these young people while robbing them of their time and potential.

One local church member told me that Witness Lee ever said that a person will grow 10 years more spiritually mature in that span of 2 years, which made him very excited to go for it, which he did go and has come back from it
@TexasStreetPreacher
@TexasStreetPreacher 2 года назад
Yes, that is true. I remember Lee saying that. One thing is for sure, the brainwashing and mind control that happens in the FTTA is exponentially stronger than in the regular "church life". Going to the FTTA is like a final nail in the coffin a person's individuality and critical thinking, and nothing short of a miracle will get them out. It's a miracle that people like Ryan and I got out!!! All praise and glory and thanks be to GOD!!!!!

I have heard about this school. If I may ask, why did you decide to attend the school for 2 years and not drop out if you knew it was a cult? Or did you not know it was a cult at the time? (Sorry if I sound dumb, I just want to be informed with what to stay away from)
@TexasStreetPreacher

I did not know it was a cult until several years after going to that 2 year training. I, like most people there, was severely brainwashed.

Thanks for posting this video. When I was in college I had come in contact with this group. While I must admit that my experience with this group wasn't all that bad it certainly helped me in certain aspects of my faith. But I definitely see what your getting at when you talked about the full time training in Anaheim. I almost got talked into going by one of the elders and did visit it for a week during April vacation a few years back. I can definitely tell you that there was something off about it and thankfully decided not to go.
@TexasStreetPreacher
@TexasStreetPreacher 4 года назад
Yes, very glad that you decided not to go! A lot of the things I talk about are things that will not be known/seen until you are fully immersed in the group. When one is newer and not fully given to the group, a lot of these things are kept and hidden from them, on purpose.

I also forgot to mention that I when I was contacted on campus I was going through a profound disolusionment with being raised catholic. When I told them I was catholic they encouraged me to be very negative about me being catholic and encouraged me to bash the catholic church as much as possible especially when they would have messages on the book of Revelation. I would constantly hear some of the elders and other church members bashing people who were raised catholic and that they just needed to read the ministry according to Witness Lee to get this nonsense out of them. Needless to say this extreme negativity and bashing others for not seeing things according to Witness Lee and the local church movement left me feeling very bitter and even more dissolusioned than before.
@TexasStreetPreacher

Yes, that is typical Local Church talk. What is ironic about all of that is the fact that Witness Lee effectively held a pope-like position in the Local Churches, and whatever he said was taken as the Oracle of God. The Local Churches and the Catholic Church are actually very similar in their ways.

The uniform and all the rules are for building up a good character and to teach us how to be proper. It is called the full time training for a reason. Witnesses lee was a gift like we all are for the lords recovery he unveiled a lot of the truth
@TexasStreetPreacher

It is not merely for good character - it is for mind control, to wear people down physically and psychologically, and overall have control over your life. Typical cult behavior, treating adults like little kids, telling them what to do, what to wear, what to say, how to say it, what not to do, when to go to bed, when to wake up, etc.. It is pathetic, disgusting, abnormal, and it's all done in the name of "God". And it all leads to HELL. Repent, please!

Very insightful! Thanks for this. Would you know if the trainees are allowed to be in a relationship outside the local church?
@TexasStreetPreacher
@TexasStreetPreacher 5 лет назад
Thank you. They are strongly discouraged to do so; it is frowned upon. But if the local church member insists upon pursuing a relationship with the "outsider", then the agenda will most definitely be to bring the outsider fully into the cult.

Totally makes sense! Just want to share with you a first-hand experience of mine. I have gotten out from a serious relationship of 5 years when I met this “Christian guy” and dated him for over ten months. I was in a very fragile state then and he was there to comfort me through the process of getting over my ex. This “Christian guy” and I would spend quite sometime together “getting to know the Lord”, and “getting intimate with the Lord”, “eating the words of the Lord” and what-nots. He even pursued my family and friends, like what a decent person would do for a woman he loves. This dude presented himself as that righteous Christian guy wherein we’d pray and read the bible (the normal version) together. He would though, never invite me to their so-called “church” as other christian groups would do so. As time went by, I noticed that he has those books from LSM and would share some snippets with me to which I really DO NOT understand. I just thought of it as a journal with really bad translation. He actually did have one of those Recovery Bible version which they use in their “church”. He oftentimes uses some jargon words like HWMR, LTM, YP, FAC, be in the spirit, contact the Lord, etc. Being head-over-heels in love with this guy, I did not take these red flags screaming “CULT!” When he told me that he’d be entering the Full Time Training, I had no choice but to let him for he said it would be a great venue for character-building and spiritual training to equip him with godly knowledge (say whaaat???). He even proposed to me and I said yes. We swore in prayer to be together after that 2 years of training. The first few months in training was smooth. He’d see me once or twice a week when the’d have that day off. Eventually our contact became very limited to none at all. One day, he showed himself and invited me to join their “meeting” to make things “easier” for us as advised by their “elders” to which I hesitated just because I was upset with him for not keeping in touch for so long. It showed on his face that he was disappointed too. On my way home, I received an email from him and who knew he’d drop me like a hot potato with this reason verbatim: “I love you but I love the Lord more. I can’t see myself being committed to anyone else even after the training aside from the Lord”. What the actual hell? So much for a noble and Christian character they build up from that cultish training, huh? This dude finished his training six months ago, until now, hasn’t showed himself to me or any of our friends and has not even gave the decency to explain or apologize for whatever pain he caused me, my friends and family. I heard from common friends that they are being “paired up” with sisters from the training to which I am not surprised at all. I have chosen to move on with life no matter how painful it may be. May this serve as a warning to those who are fragile enough to become a victim of this cult. The true God gave us brains so we can make wise decisions to worship him rightfully and righteously. What did I learn about this painful experience? The true God that I know surely saved me from the ways of the devil and eternal sin. My faith have been tested and I have been saved by the true Lord’s grace and mercy. More power to you and your videos. May it bring awareness to many and to those who are about to be victimized by the members of this cult.

Oh my gosh ... I am so sorry you had to go through that. This is wrong on so many levels. Sorry to say, he was implementing the recent, standard Local Church protocol of slowly, little by little, introducing you to all of the Local Church doctrines, terminology, and practices before fully revealing to you who he and they are and what they want from you. I don't think he was doing it in a devious way to trick you, but members ARE trained to do it that way in order not to scare people off and to make sure that they build up a relationship with people to eventually bring them fully into the cult. One thing I did notice is that broken promises/engagement break-ups are not uncommon in this group, which surprised me the more I got involved. One would think that this kind of stuff wouldn't happen in this group with all of their talk of oneness and harmony, etc., but it happens quite a bit. People in this group can be quite "flaky". And definitely not surprise at all that this happened while he was at the training. I guarantee you, 100 percent, that he was told by his trainers to limit contact and/or even cut off contact with you. That was their "fellowship" to him - to alienate you. No joke. This whole talk of him not being committed to anyone else but the Lord is absolutely Witness Lee-talk, and he is repeating and believing what he's been brainwashed with. This whole loving the Lord to the neglect of others is typical, flaky, unnatural, inhuman, cult, delusional love that is not real love. It's sad, and disturbing. And he won't own up to you or your family with regards to what he did - typical cult cowardice. All cults are cowardly - Jehovah-less Witnesses, Mormons, Local Church members, etc. It's a spineless, cowardly group full of hidden agendas, non-transparency, and deceit. I'm sure this guy is absolutely being "paired up" with some "sister" from the training, even if he's not that interested in her. Arranged marriages in this group are a real thing. People often become so de-humanized that they have a hard time not only thinking for themselves, but also choosing for themselves, including choosing a partner/spouse, so they need others to handpick their spouses for them. I'm very glad to hear that you've moved on and are saved and trusting the Lord. I will be praying for you and your walk with Him. Many people see these videos by me as being done maliciously and with mean intentions, and as unnecessary and false accusations, but I do these videos, even if they may sound harsh, because it is not me who is deceiving and tricking and hurting people - it's this cult who is doing that, and brainwashing people, and destroying families, relationships, and futures. I'm glad that this video struck a chord with you and your experience, because everything that I am presenting in these videos really is true. I am not making any of this stuff up, despite what some of these cult members may claim. And your testimony is proof of that, as well. I appreciate your giving your testimony and your encouraging words. God bless you, sister.

Thanks for putting this out there. Lots of college kids got tricked by this group in the late 90's and early 2000's and there is little to nothing written about their group.

Psalm 7:11 "God is angry with the wicked every day." Sounds like you have an issue with expressing anger? But God sure doesn't. And neither do I. Having said that, I'm a very happy person. Especially after leaving the cult.
