Mercy: A Member of the Recovery Church Movement

The Local Church or Recovery Church Movement was founded by Witness Lee, who was a disciple of Watchman Nee. The movement arrived in the United States in the 1960's.
One of the beliefs of this movement is that there should only be one church in each city. For many years, this movement was seen as heretical and cultish. However, recent research has causes some to consider the movement within the boundaries of Christian orthodoxy.
While mercy was unable to communicate the gospel to me, she did affirm the gospel I proclaimed to her.
Before saying goodbye, Mercy handed me a booklet titled "The Bible--A Romance of a Universal Couple." Having read the booklet, I found it to be a gospel-less treatment of the marriage relationship between Christ and His Church.
