I hope one day as a globe we can put the same attention into wellbeing and education, etc, as we do all our militaries.

LOL! sorry the US military is the one doing any research and a lot of that is wasted. Money on education is also being wasted as well as wellbeing since bmi is now considered racist and obesity is no longer a disease since it is fatphobic

Babu really is an awesome human being. He always seems to take deep, philosophical takes from what he sees. Rather than just: "Yeah, these weapons are cool!" he ponders the meaning of what they could be used for and the significance of the potential loss of life. And I remember in the Jungle Book video, he reflected that Sher Khan wasn't evil; he was just a tiger being a tiger, and humans came into his home and maimed him.

Not sure what the guys were seeing, but several times the weapon/video shown didn't track properly with the weapon discussed, it showed something completely different. Hopefully, this was an editing issue and not the source material used.

That's true for many of the "informative" videos they are shown. I wonder if it could be because higher quality content could be copyright struck?

Yes half of the footage shown during the airborne Lazer was showing the U.S. Navy's shipboard laser which can be used to blow up incoming missiles and small boats.

Scariest military weapons: annoying laser tag rifle, 9mm that kinda shoots around a corner Not scariest military weapons: H-bombs, kinetic bombardment
@MagnificentXXBastard
@MagnificentXXBastard Год назад
kinetic bombardment is a meme and not actually useful. For strategic targets, nukes are better in almost every way. For tactical targets, it's too costly, slow and unreliable.

I am often in awe of modern weapons technology. It's so clever. But that cleverness is put towards the dark purpose of destroying human lives. Of course defense is necessary and hegemony pays innumerable geopolitical dividends that make up a hundred times for what we pay into the military industrial complex. Yet I cannot shake the feeling that it is a twisted use of our intellect, and creativity when it's that same creativity that we also use to create beautiful works of art, life saving medicines and so on. What are we becoming? Do we have a choice of which road to take?

@jaymacgee_A_Bawbag_Blethering
Babu is correct in being sad and disillusioned by todays hi tech weapons , if we put the same amount of time and money into ensuring everyone in the world had access to medicine, food, water and shelter then the world would be a better place . However , the military industrial complex would have you covertly murdered if you tried to disrupt their business 👀 👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

It makes me really happy that at least the US military is using more non-lethal weapons in conflict, and they're really working hard to create weapons that only target enemies, so they can reduce the number of innocent casualties.
@conorstewart2214

The majority of these were just experiments that haven't ever been used in conflict. The US military is not really interested in using non lethal weapons.

Number 8 is reminiscent of a medieval Korean weapon called a Hwacha, which could launch up to 200 rocket-powered arrows at once. The crew of Mythbusters built one of their own to test, and proved that it could work.

Does anyone here know if it was Catharine the Great who first used birds as weapons? She had her army tie some incendiary to their feet and let them fly to the village they wanted burned down. Surely someone had done it sooner. Using innocent lives - no matter the species - is just so hideous. Fascinating video, though.

Has babu never served in a war? Also i thought permanent blinding weapons were illegal for 100 years, and thats why theyre not in common use. The #14 is only used to take down drones

They need to learn about the weapon maker named Metalstorm. They developed a prototype gun that can fire at 1,000,000 rounds a minute. Edit: metalstorm is featured.

With all due respect to my elders, you have to remember if you do not have a weapon of any type to protect yourself from harm, or to be enslaved. Then you get what you deserve, but the United States has been looked at by the rest of the world as the policing of other countries and the protectors of other countries so that’s why we have these weapons because we know that when we come in to protect people, we have to show a force like they’re no other
