These are the Wizard NR100 frames. They retail for around $400 US. They’re UFS and are designed for 100mm wheels. They are machined out of a solid piece of aluminum, which makes them extremely solid but more expensive than other frames.
Wizard NR100 Frame: www.wizardskating.com/product/...
What makes the Wizard frames unique is their natural rocker. While most frame systems place the wheels in a straight line, or maybe offer an adjustable rocker system, the NR100 provide a unique rocker with no adjustments. This allows for more maneuverability than expected with such a long wheelbase.
Disclosure: The frames I skated were loaned to me for the review. I purchased everything else. I'll be returning the frames shortly.

Nice jump! Great video about the wizards. I was really blown away by how beautiful your neighborhood is to skate in by the way. Namaste.

Absolutely. I tried to make this conclusion but not sure i nailed it. They’re amazing frames, and some people will love them. They’re just for a very specific person.

I like your honesty in your reviews of the NR100 frames. Order the 90mm Wizards and let us know how they feel. And at the end do a raffle... nah just kidding.

@@leigh6417 i would never buy them, way to expensive. I was interested to know how a 4x90mm setup would feel but ended up rolling on a 3x110 setup. Its fun, fast and agile. For me the way to go, at least for this summer season. Cheers

I'm trying to understand what you are saying about being "natural" rockered, vs banana rockered. Can you explain the "natural" rockered configuration?
@BacktoBlading
@BacktoBlading 4 года назад
It’s a wear pattern you usually get after skating wheels for a while and rotating them without swapping positions.

Thanks for the review! What do you think about a Shift 2 with added 45 degree strap and these? Atm I'm planning to have the Shift 2 as my main boot with a few different setups and I'm wondering whether it will work with 4 x 100mm. Any idea?
@BacktoBlading
@BacktoBlading 5 лет назад
I think it’ll work, but I’d be scared of the wiggle from the IFC losing some of the power. Have you tried big wheels before?
@aldolega
@aldolega 5 лет назад
Too squishy of a boot. To use the Wizard as intended, you really need a boot with a super rigid base/frame mount and a precise fit on your foot, to allow you fine control of your edges. A Shift unfortunately is not going to give you either. It would work fine for just cruising around, where you're not really riding your edges so hard, but there are plenty of other frames that could do that for you for a lot less.

@@BacktoBlading I'm using an Oysi frame atm but that doesn't really qualify as big wheels. So no, it's new to me. I guess I'll try and then eventually switch to another boot if it really doesn't work...

@Arto get some of those GC 80mm frames, they'r much lower and a good first step into big wheels. Jumping to Wizards might be too much too soon.

Ciao , for some time I am fascinated by these frames, but the price of 400 euros + shipping costs in Italy of 20 euros, it seems really excessive .... in your opinion it's really worth it ... ??? They are also very heavy ... Thanks for the very detailed review, which seems to confirm my doubts
@BacktoBlading
@BacktoBlading 4 года назад
It’s very expensive but it’s a single purchase. They won’t need replacing and I’ll bet you can sell them for a pretty penny.

@@BacktoBlading Tanks, In Italy they are totally unknown, I could only buy them after trying them but it is impossible ... then there is so much choice with 3 or 4 wheels lighter and cheaper .... not even the Chinese have copied them ;-

Remember that these are a very niche product, within a pretty niche sport. They're made in the USA in small batches- I would guess Leon sells no more than a hundred pairs of these a year- not in China by the hundreds or thousands of pieces. If you look at similar products made in similar numbers in similar industries- say specialized speed or downhill skate frames, or some niche bike parts, or similar- and you'll see that the Wizards are actually really fairly priced for what they are.
