This is what happens when a player is not pushed to improve for 4 years. You get what you pay for, but it's okay because they got Embid right? Then he goes down and Simmons gets exposed everytime smh.🤦♂️
@@MrGrenadeLauncher Good job researching a gm 4 comment 2 days ago, you must have plenty of time on your hands. Luckily Seth Curry saved Ben's ass and drop 30 pts because Ben sure in hell wasn't going to.
Your putting the other team in the bonus, and if he actually hits both and you can’t be as aggressive on defense when it’s actually time to get a stop.
I get so much heat for saying this, but I’ll say it again, he’s overrated. You can’t be earning $150M+ and have a broke shot as a guard/forward. He has statistically regressed in every category since his rookie season. Just think about that. Sure he may pass the “eye test” but the guy has not improved much. Go to Draymond’s 2015 season... tell me they aren’t doing the same thing if not worse from Simmons’ standpoint. Sure I understand Simmons is more consistent and shows more promise, but for $150M? Cmon now.
That’s the deal. He’d make a good paint presence forward, but as a guard? He’s not multifaceted as he should be. When I was playing high school and league ball, I was a defensive and playmaking SG. I could dish the ball well, but I could also get my own shot. I was good at both ends. Simmons is a good defender, but until he gets a shot, the gameplan will always be the same
So we talking about his money worth based on his offense or defense? Sure he can't shoot but how many 7 foot pg that defend everyone on the floor in the NBA? That's why he gets paid that. He is the only one. Basically a unicorn. The man just simply can't shoot but does everything else at a high level. Don't forget Bertans has a almost 100 mil contract.
@@LetMeCookBro69 For that kind of money he has to do both offense and defense. It looks like he's not improving at all. Look at Giannis he's actually putting effort in his jumpshot and have a crazy 10 secs free throw motion but makes it he improved massively.
I’m still salty that this fool won ROTY over Mitchell. Look at them now. Both sitting at home but one can be confident in his abilities while the other is…. Something.
He’s too soft man, idk how as a pro athlete with all the coaches and facilities you don’t even think of trying it in game. He can shoot over most guards too, like you really have to be so soft to not even try ANY jumper in a game, especially since it has exponential benefits if he can knock em down.
@@snooppp8873 Now imagine if Kuzma was paid a max contract and shot 34% on FTs in the playoffs with over 70 attempts. LMAO Ben somehow making him look good.
Yeah it's weird. He's a right handed person, but apparently his dad wanted him to master shooting left handed from an early age to have a competitive advantage. And then Ben just decided he didn't like shooting right-handed at all, even though his right handed shot is better form. Funny how what was supposed to be a competitive advantage turned into a disadvantage.
@@lucassepulveda3158 that's why they're called a "team" everyone must do their job not because one is lacking everyone would get held back. That's why GMs trade players to suit their team players. Geez
Talking about Shaq and rules, he caused changes in one rule that is now popularized as “Hack -a-Shaq”. The change meant players couldn't purposely foul opposing players who didn't have the ball in their hands during the last 2 minutes of the game. Otherwise, the opposing teams would get 2 free throws and the ball. NBA made a rule out of it.
I am not a sixers fan but that is a all star player u all are dissing... Agreed he is not a good shooter but he is in the top 3 for almost all stats for the team... Fans should encourage him. He even defended westbrook very well...
Did you think Kobe fking up his first NBA games with bricks and low scores didn’t get him treated like shit? It’s about the mentality and your resolve to win. Clearly Simmons doesn’t have none. The dude gets paid big bucks to screw around
@LEE KING SNATCH Any playoff is pressure and the dude doesn't deliver when it counts. Embiid goes out with an injury the game is close. A star PG puts his team on his back and makes these throws. He's been showing up small in tight playoff games for years now and Sixers fans are tired of it.
He and Doc might be playin' it cool but if he doesn't improve, the sixers are going to lose a lot of close games and he is going to crumble as a player. Shaq played through it because he could totally dominate inside, Simmons doesn't have that luxury. Given Simmons has shown zero improvement and even regression in his shooting since he entered the league, I think it's not going to go well and he and his team will get punished over and over. At some point, his team mates will not want him on the court in close games.
Does anyone else wonder wtf does Simmons do during the off season. He hasn’t gotten better at 3s and he’s a liability from the free throw line. Does he just practice dunks and passes???
That's what happens when you give the kids max contracts before proving their worth. They don't care to improve because they are getting paid regardless of how they perform.
Imagine being a guard and handling the ball your ENTIRE life and not knowing how to shoot from anywhere. 95% of high school girl varsity teams shoot better than this man.
My girl sometimes says she can’t walk after we get down I’m assuming after a girls first time they’re hella sore so it affects the way they walk idk lol my guess
