Every time I see a playthrough of this and hear the music, every - single - time, I remember sitting on the floor in the living room playing through it while my dad played jim croce on his big, new stand up entertainment center
It's weird when a long forgotten memory returns, the feeling is almost indescribable. I forgot this game even existed until the invincibility music and gem chest screen. I don't think I ever got past the first level, I only remember thinking the sword was useless.
I have memories of renting this game from video store and playing with my brother and friends and we all we in awe of this game. I loved it and recently bought it and beat it again.
That jump for the Feather of Feather Fall took me FOREVER to figure out and even now I can only pull it off every now and then. Great work as usual, Arcus!
Arcus! Such a great choice! I love all your runs but I especially like this one. Kudos to you my friend. I've played all 3 instances of the W&W saga. I like the 3rd one the most maybe you can make a run on it, but the other two are fine. It's just that the third I think was a bit more fun to play. The music score, the game mechanics, the graphics... This one is way more challenging and requires a lot of patience and skill. But again kudos(Kuros! lol) to you and hopefully we will see you playing the II and III. Thanks man!
Pretty amazing stuff! I loved this game as a kid and I still love the music from it today! In fact, I think I’m gonna go home and make a couple ringtones for my phone! Thanks for the video!
I played this a few times at a friend's house, never got very far. I did end up buying the second one and eventually beating it. Pretty good game, wouldn't mind seeing it make a comeback. Congrats on the PB!
You are a master of your craft! Never would have believed it could be beaten in under 15 minutes. I owned this game in 1990 and it took me 3+ hours to beat it.
I don't think there was any other NES game I wanted to be better at, and was worse at. This game baffled my 6-10 year old existence. Watching you play through it now shows me, I never stood a chance lol...
Played through this a lot when it was new. It was kind of just a fun zen thing to do quick runs of, and mess around with. Now though, it seems weird AF. It's really an unusual game which is oddly fun to play despite making no sense at all.
Dude i am glad i found you. When i seen you for the first time wearing your hat. I thought ??? Huh and i started watching all your videos. And the way you smashed wizards and warriors amazed me beyond belief. I have a twin and he was the video game player growing up at first while i was the sporty child but i got the best of both worlds outside playing sports all day and coming in at dark and me and my twin playing video games and his channel is "Nubs The Gamer" but anyway you threw me off and im thought he cant be that good at games but wow!!!! Your run was awesome. Where are you from if i may ask? I don't wanna be stereotypical and think Texas because of your get up lol see you in the next game buddy take care.
I’d play this game as a kid all the time (never got past the first stage) every time my health got low and that music started my mom would start going “You’re gonna die” in tune with the music. I can’t unhear it.
So in the first three levels, the knight has been to Hugh Hefner’s estate to rescue Lucinda (stripper name if ever I’ve heard one), saved Esmerelda from Quasimodo in Notre Dame and travelled to Middle Earth to rescue the most power elf this side of the undying lands? Fair play to him.
yes, before there was Elden Ring, there was Wizards and Warriors! lol. I remember playing this on cartridge as a kid. When From Software first came out with Demon's Souls I immediately thought of this game and said to myself, "That's Wizards and Warriors!". It's crazy. That game was hard as hell, btw. Even for a 9 year old like me back then. When I think Knight in Shining armor I don't think Karate Kid 2 theme song. I think Wizards and Warriors.
I've got this in my recommendations and first thing I thought was "I'm not going to watch it, because AGDQ has the best atmosphere and they are actually talking while playing!". But after a while I decided to watch anyway and now I want to stay longer! Your short comments and pure gameplay is everything that I needed to watch at this rainy evening. Thank you for vids and... Giddyup!
I liked this game as a kid, but I don't think I ever really understood it or got very far. I liked the way things moved and the sound and music. I think I was able to do a little more on the sequels that had different suits of armor.
@@earlthepearl6414 Ohh ..... i didn't knew about these boots and it tricks until now. And i got almost 30 years playing this game, and didn't noticed these curious items.
I remember the somehow catchy 'banger' when your character got down to three bars or lower of health. Every time I played and every time I heard it, I'd get REALLY nervous and thought 'Gotta find the meat!' :P
Though I never owned this as a kid, I rented it a few times and was very fond of it. I was only able to make it past the second stage. I own it now, and have still never beat it. Might have to retry.
Funny how many people in comments specifically remember renting this game. When I rented it as a kid, it was absolutely amazing! Playing it today it is pretty strange to say the least.
