What would you say is the difference between the two? Yea I was running bootless and I just can't seem to like the bootless look with the white outline haha
@@JeffSongCars you can remove the white/chrome border. Just checked on mine today. To answer your Q. I’d say maybe sturdiness and adjustable. IRP is aluminum and you’re able to change the % of the throw.
@@j.a.c.x Definitely going to reinstall the shift boot haha. Wow didn't even know that there were other options for the short shifter, the one you mentioned seems a lot better!
@@JeffSongCars I installed the shifter bushings and the WK shifter at the same time. The engagement is much better (feels solid) compared to the stock rubber bushings.
@@JeffSongCars Got it cool, Thanks! What year is your EvoX? Watching a few shifter installs, seems some people are having trouble with front clips on the shifter housing requiring removal of the dash.
My Evo is a 2013, yea the clips take a bit of work. You have to use a bit of force but make sure not to break it hahah. Are you going to do the shifter upgrade?
@@JeffSongCars Ha got it! Most of the vids that go over it make it seem easy, albeit a couple. I actually picked up an IRP shifter. Excited to swap it out. Your video is super helpful for the prep.
They make an evo x shift boot delete in carbon fiber. It’s made by panem. I have the same wk short shifter. Let me know if you need a pic of it with the shift boot delete
I just filmed my next video! hahaha I ended up putting the shift boot back on. It isnt the stock shift boot but like a pleather shift boot that I had on from before. The white outline put me off of the bootless look but if that carbon fiber piece looks good I might change it over to that!

@@JeffSongCars I got in touch with them and ordered one. If you do PayPal friends and family($4 dollar fee ) you get an extra shift knob. I went with the silver weighted knob(+35 USD). Thanks for the link!
