Bagworm hatch is just about to get started in the landscape. If you've had bagworms in the past, chances are good they will be back again. At hatch-time, young bagworms eat voraciously and cause great damage to evergreens. To stop bagworms, you can use the organic approach with Captain Jack's Deadbug Brew. Eight Insect Control is a pyrethrin-based product that works very well...and Systemic Insect Control is also an excellent choice. All these products offer a contact-kill, but the systemic product will stay with the plant longer. If you had bagworms in the past, start spraying early and spray at least once a week through the end of June for a bagworm free landscape.
