The station is now known as WNCF-TV ABC 32 in Montgomery, and are sister stations to Selma-licensed WAKA-TV CBS 8 and Tuskegee-licensed WBMM Montgomery's CW. And the SMPTE color bars appear at 2:00, after the conclusion of "The Mormon's Star-Spangled Banner Film" and vocal National Anthem from the then WKAB-TV 32 Montgomery sign-off, right before the transmitter shut down at 2:09. Thank you for posting this!!
WKAB (nee WNCF) is operated by Bahakel Communications...which owns WCCB CW 18. Back in the day, WCCB used the Mormon's SSB film at sign-off and sign-on.
In 1989 WKAB changed call letters WHOA - meaning Heart of Alabama. In 1999 WNCF meaning when it had a news operation. Where News Comes First. WNCF news is produced by WAKA CBS 8.
