Just ordered one, and my first was also a v911. That thing was indestructible - the LEGO of helicopters. I've since gone on to fly 6 channel micros, but at this price I just couldn't help picking one of these babies up.
NOT indestructible!! One flight in indoor wood floor basketball court, cut the power about 10 feet off the ground to prevent hitting a wall, and tail boom is busted, but the rear motor, and wires and everything else is okay.
I did :) was a great lil fun chopper to fly around, previously I've only flown those crappy 3ch ones with double props and hardly any controls.. Thanks for watching :)
Fly's awesome Ryan and very easy to control, I really like this one and I'm a newbie to RC helis, haven't flown one in a while also but the ones i have all been 3ch rubbish.
Nice unboxing and test flight of the V911S. This one performed much better than a previous heli on you channel. I thought it flew way and you seemed to have full control over it. Do any of these heli’s come with a camera, or have any advanced features?
WLtoys makes some nice little helis, they should build an all in 450 sized bird with shaft driven tail and metal head. They could do it and keep it under $250 RTF.
Wow, I have a 4 year 911 and its still in great shape. I dont think I could break that thing. The only thing is its not good even in a light wind. That 2 speed would be nice. I'm going to get one. Thank you.
it seems to handle wind much better then the v911 pro , you dont have to handle the flybar on that one so to me its a huge improvement im going to have one for sure , great review and flight test David !!!
This was a real fun and smooth flyer Thijs, I'll be flying this around more often for sure..good change from flying a quad all the time, thanks for watching bro, always appreciate you stopping by! :)
Hi do u have any idea if this heli can be flown with the other WL Toys 4ch transmitter? I already have one from V912, i’m planning to get the V911S BNF version. Plus i don’t really like the standard transmitter from V911 and V911S.
Wish I could answer that for you, but I'm not too sure myself if they all run on the same protocol.. I don't see why they wouldn't but maybe see if there is anything online in rcgroups.com possibly its been covered, cheers for watching
@@PERTHWESTOZRC hey thanks for that prompt reply. I have searched it online and in the forum but the conversation from the main topic easily got carried away to other things. Thanks for the thoughts and input. Cheers.
@@blacksukhoi no problem man, like I said I wish I knew 100% it did so I can confirm it and tell you it will, but being so close in model numbers... Its possible it may just have that same protocol. If I find anything I'll come back here and let you know
@@blacksukhoi Check the rcgroups forums on the v911s. The v911 and the v911s use different protocols so Txs are not compatible. However the v911s protocol has recently been "deviated" so it now can be run with the various multiprotocol radios (like Jumper etc) with the latest firmware versions.
Is that Spearwood footy oval lol looks real familiar? Great review, prompted me to buy one today after getting used to a 3 channel. Having trouble with it drifting bad to the left and can't seem to trim it out, any ideas?
Hey mate, nah its not spearwood oval, its one of the ones in Kardy. As far as trimming, its been so long since I flew this chopper last I honestly can't remember tbh... Sorry bud. Its got a gyro so maybe try reset it with a stick command. Info should be in the user manual...cheers for watching 👍🍻
They do. You can buy 1 with a mode 1 Tx on other sites - usually at a higher cost than on Banggood. You can also buy a spare mode 1 Tx on Banggood for AU$31 + tax - free shipped. Or if you have a radio with a multi protocol module simply load the V911s protocol, set it up for the V911s heli and you're good to go.
Yep its great value and a heap of fun to fly for the price, I had a ball testing this one out..first time flying a 4ch heli too..will be flying it more often, think this lil guy has got me into helis now lol
