This has to be one of the greatest stories I have ever heard. It shows the love of our Lord Jesus. Disc alongs in the movie or at least in a book. It is so heart-wrenching because even though I was never a Jehovah's Witness I can remember the witnesses like you Deborah that really cared about their fellow human being and we're not all consumed with Armageddon and us against them. I am so impressed with your courage is a witness. It is only a matter of time before they're all House of Cards coming down. What I am concerned about is a loving witnesses that realize they have been misled and will feel the emptiness and darkness inside of them. as a former JW, I too watched many videos, JW facts and WT examination being very helpful and others in getting the factsI simply could not ignore the truth about the facts. being JW for over 40 years I knew and remembered what was really said.I excitedly went and presented what I had leaned to many of my fellow JW bro and sisters, my own family whom I taught and raised JW everyone went cold. went from friend to foe in a moment. like your friend I was able to document everything so as to answer them like we answered others. I listened to brothers out right lie and deny what was said. lie to my family in front of me and I was there in 1975 and so were some the older ones who I knew they knew what happened. in the end the elders came and said I cannot be allowed to spread these talk whether true or false. I said what sin did I commit? eph 5 11 said im suppose to expose. and also im not be afraid of you / men they just left me alone after that. evrytime I speak to someone and say what I have to say. I get that elder phone call the same day. I never would have thought that the supposed lovers of the truth would not want to hear it. it was easy for me to leave. one elder said well bill you stand alone. I said as a elder you know that Jesus said he would ALWAYS be with us. no answer after that
You are also not alone because Christ will provide you with many friends to share your faith with. Great answer. it is written: nothing hidden will remain secret. what we are seeing now is the destruction of religion. go to any you tube video and you will find videos exposing real /not accusations/corruption. it is said that the (elites) will rid the bible without having to burn it. they control you tube. but the JW are people who believe like so many others they are the truth. look up the documentaries on Hassidic Jews, amish, new Zealandthey all want to protect their view. and in my opinion they have the right idea, but you get into legalism and become like the Pharisees.. since the WT says God choose them. Fuzzy Bunny Slippers I was listening to a lovely Christian song at my cousins and she said she didn’t like it because it is gospel music. I told her you can listen to the vulgar crap on the radio but a song that expresses Gods love you don’t want to hear? She apologized and was stopped right in her tracks. I told her her thinking is wrong and JWs do not have the truth.
While various genres attract or turn people off, if the message of a GOSPEL song is clear and the person, saying they're Christian, doesn't want to ear it, ya gotta wonder. When the message of Christ is a problem for JW's that's a major red flag!
They don’t seem to like “Amazing Grace” either lol I guess because that song does not apply to the rank and file. They most certainly are NOT Christian. Christians preach the Gospel. Was the 1-hour video documentary Debra talks about the 1986, "Witnesses of Jehovah"? I ask because that was an hour long fact-filled documentary that I first saw in 2002, and it floored me. I was physically sick after viewing it and fact-checking sources. I showed it to my mother and she was also floored. However, maybe not as much since she had already read Crisis of Conscience. Very powerful.
So you believe Jesus is Almighty God? he doesn't believe he is God. Please read what he told his disciples.. John 20:17, " I am going to your father and my father, to your God and to my God. " He ascended to his God and father. Also read what he says after he ascended.. "The one who conquers, I will make him a pillar in the temple of my God. Never shall he go out of it, and I will write on him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which comes down from my God out of heaven, and my own new name. " Revelation 3:12.. and who receives a new name with Jesus? See Isaiah 63:1-2 ... I had been born and raised in this religion.. never questioning for 50 years until I began to listen to God and to Christ's voice while studying the scriptures very closely, yes a personal study without Watchtower material or any other. . I want to believe Jesus loves me ,but after going through what you did, Jehovah is. A jealous god so worshiping anyone. It him would get us killed. And serving g Jehovah was it, I felt like I deserted Jesus, I’m gonna.be careful cause if I offend Jehovah I will be killed .
I have not been to a meeting in 23 years but the idea of everyone dying forever and going to heaven for all time for all humanity just means nothing to me.

John 17 is a wonderful text but I notice that JW's repeatedly leave out verse *5* , where Jesus talks about how HE had glory WITH THE FATHER before the world was. NOW, how can anyone LESSER than God have glory WITH GOD? *IF* Jesus is only the archangel Michael, as the WT teaches, then this isn't possible. John 3:15-18, 36 talk about believing in the SON for Salvation. In John 5:23 Jesus said that All must honor the Son *just as* (equal to) honor given to the Father. If the Son is not given this level of honor, then the Father is Dishonored. John 14:1 says pretty much the same thing. *"Let not your heart be troubled. You believe in God, believe also in Me."* Pretty nervy for an archangel to claim to be entitled to EQUAL faith as one would have for God.
No. You really don't. You put the act that you care and shower "newly weds" into your cult with affection and so much love. But then you slowly tell them the truth. You both have great points I don't see how anyone would go into more dogma, but as long as it is not a controlling cult it is okay I guess. I don't understand how anyone could be an atheist, however. I certainly don't trust any religion to tell me the truth about our grand creator aka "God". The simple fact is we had to be created by something, how, when or where is up for discussion.
