omg I'm a fellow death guard player !!! what proxy do you used ? I'really don't like the chaos cultists from gw... also a lot of people (guys especially) view the hobby as a basement nerd boys club thing, and these guys get mad when changes happen because of newcomers. they don't understand that a bigger public implies changes to the hobby to fit the expectations of said public. and people tend to forget that it's a hobby for everyone to enjoy, and that little changes to reflect the need of the community will never destroy the core of warhammer.

@@Max-nj9ks hey, i used stargrave miniatures, they come 20 miniatures per box and for each style you can choose either male or female models. They are mixed races too. I decided to take the scavangers and the merceneries. Their kits come with A LOT of extra bits you can mix and match to your liking. I also used some spare parts of the SoB kits my GF used. All around i got 40 Miniatures for ~50 € with the afforementioned loads of spare parts. Don't know if they are globally available or just in EU tho. Edit: Ok, i just looked it up. The producer seems to be North Star and are located in the UK shipping worldwide. I used a german site for buying mine but maybe it's worth a look for you. Lookup Stargrave Scavengers and Stargrave Mercenaries. Anyways Papa Nurgle loves everyone!

Nurglith was my fav chaos god as a kid, now I lean more towards the lord of skulls and the lord of change. At least with chaos you can do conversions and it will always fit. Now the reason why it causes me "discomfort" is that you and your ilk have opened the door to changing the setting to fit the modern day west and now the changes will continue to happen until there is nothing left in 40k that made it unique, and surely you wouldn't like that either.

The imperium wastes billions of people and subjects them to horrendous conditions out of a believed neccesity to exterminate aliens and eliminate Chaos. Yet every day, they are in even more danger. They exist in a near completely hostile galaxy because they wiped out every friendly alien species, leaving only the most deadly alive. If we are talking specifically Horus Heresy, I'd argue the fact that Humanity's immortal imperium was crippled by 9 brothers because the overly militaristic imperium centralised too much power in their heads of state is proof. Notice how the moment the emporer ate shit, the imperium was broken. It never returned to it's same level of capaibility or glory because a fascist state cannot survive without it's great leader, WH40k highlights the fundamental idiocracy of fascistic systems. In spite of the super soldiers, the brainwashing, the lying, the genocide, the imperium still loses because of it's corruption and hatred that blinds it to any possible solution. I still have the Yarrick books somewhere, there were so many great stories in that era. The Primarus are so bad mechanically and lore wise, they even look boring, and they really mark the beginning of the period we are in now where they are systematically taking away everything that makes 40k 40k.

The recent lore changes go against everything that 40k stood for. Indeed, we have lost this battle as with all media. There is no way to stop the corruption of GW. The only hope is that one day evil will lose it's grip and we can rebuild.

If the lore didn't change people would complain just as much that it was static and boring. 40k has some of the most retconned lore of any franchise, heck almost every model release is a lore change. GW can release a dozen new units that have lore saying those units were around all along, no one cares. So it's being very cherry picking to suddenly have a problem with it when they add something and the reason it's disliked is because of it's sex. If fans disliked lore changes they'd dislike the others as well, but that's not what they dislike. They're somehow threatened by a change that has no impact on them. As the saying goes: "When you've lived with privilege for long enough, equality feels like oppression."

The Sisters of Battle are mostly inspired by the Catholic Church lol The whole point of the factions in Warhammer is that they don't get along. They all fight - its about war. Sisters of Battle are the most conservative faction, they're literally celibate nuns but Slanesh would be perfect place for trans or liberally inspired characters.
