One of the Disney Veterans that left Disney created his own animation studio on youtube called "James Lopez Animations". Also the first episode of their new series "Hullabaloo" just came out this week. It's a classic 2D hand drawn style animation based in a SteamPunk world. The storytelling and comedy are like a classic Disney show and I encourage everyone to see it. It is a breath of fresh air.

People are moving on to other outlets beyond Disney anyway. They’ve shown how they hate their customers and even more people who disagree with the slop they’ve made.

The good thing about the Fallout series is that there are no Modders to save Bethesda. It will sink or swim on its own. The biggest mistake Nolan made is thinking Fallout is about social commentary. It's not. It's about survival after the end of the world. With heaping load of gallows humor.

In my opinion, Alyx Vance from the Half-LIfe games is a fantastic way to handle a female character, which they thankfully didn't forget when making Half-Life: Alyx. She's strong, smart, and capable, but also very human. She makes little jokes, she gets excited, she cares deeply about her father and her friends. Her being half-African American and half Malaysian has nothing to do with her story or character, because that's not the point of Alyx. If you've never played Half-Life's games before, you're missing out on one of my favorite female characters of all time.

I agree with you, Endymion. I really hope they don't reduce Fallout for ESG. The game series itself was a message about the warnings of nuclear armageddon and survival. And not worrying about the preferred pronouns of the nearest Deathclaw.

I have been boycotting Hollywood for several years now. It’s not a hard thing to cut out of your life. I haven’t been to the theaters to see a movie since End Game with the exception of two movies I watched inside a developing nation, knowing full well Hollywood’s profits get slashed in such markets relative to others. I’ll watch a movie on a plane ride when it’s free but outside of those exceptions I have been totally tuned out of movies as well as subscription based idiotbox companies. When it comes to games, I play one single game from a Japanese company not beholden to ESG bullshit investment firm nonsense. Zero wokeness. Trust me, leaving the current American entertainmentscape is very doable and I’d definitely recommend it. Unless of course you want to keep funding this nonsense.

As a consumer I reserve the right to buy or not buy products from those who sell them. I cancelled my Disney subscription not because of politics but because the product was shit. Nothing Disney/Marvel/Lucasfilm/Pixar has released in the last 10 years has appealed to me at all except for Andor, and even then once is more than enough. If they start making programming that appeals to me then I'll watch it. Until then not so much.

As someone who is a Massive Fallout fan and had dreamed of a Fallout TV. I am Extremely worried for this show. While I initially wasnt too put of by the Idea of a Female Protagonist. When they mentioned an Artifact that can "Shift the power Dynamic" I immediately got Red Flags. Not to mention the Brotherhood of steel and there goal of bringing "Law and Order". Amazon clearly doesn't understand that the Brotherhood of steel are basically a Cult that believes that technology is what caused the bombs to drop and that it should be kept out of the hands of peoples hands.

Having a women as a main character isn't necessarily a bad thing. In Fallout there were several women who were capable fighters themselves: Cass and Sarah Lyons to name a few. However like Endymion mentioned it's very easy to get on the other sidr of the fence in terms of writing.

I'm with you Endymion. I'm pissed and bored and triggered in seeing in most of the movies that come out where MC (Main character) is a female actress. Also in some games as well. I'm no sexist but the more I see this the more I'm turning into being a sexist and starting to get anoyed by this because it feels like the male gender doesn't exits and if it does exists then it is inferior, the males are now basically pussy's in all fields. Everyone, and I mean everyone now are so sensitive to everything that it's difficult to hold a legitimate, logical, unbiased, lighthearted conversation without the fear that the other side will misinterpret or exaggerate what I'm saying. Once upon a time, we could've discussed various topics and have a lough about it but now it's almost impossible because everyone gets offended by everything where they aren't even involved in this. Could be anything, talking in a general sense without mentioned a topic.

Lucy as described sounds like she has the potential to start off as insufferable as an early Star Trek the Next Generation Federation character who's only adult life experience is Starfleet academy and the the Enterprise D. That is until she gets reality smacked hard. And judging by her split lip she may have already had her first serving or at least the the appetizer. This gives us character toughness tier of the following: Lucy = the babe in the wood. Maximus = trained but inexperienced. The Ghoul = a bounty hunter hardened by living through a nuclear war to not only endure watching his family die and forced to go on for 219 years as a mutant that most people would shoot on site. So far the only issue I have had with the show presented thus far is with The Ghoul. I can't decide which I hate more the name or the makeup. I am not saying we should not be concerned. They could make the show flawlessly faithful to lore with stories and scenes that would be right at home in the games and devoid of anything defined as woke and still turn out terrible. I have watched my share of shows and movies that had all the right ingredients but for some reason could not enjoy. To give you an example of my tastes I thought S1 of Westworld was perfect. S2 was garbage except the very last few episodes. S3 was interesting except the kept the continuity error of season 2 where the androids went from being bullet sponges and be able to keep going after being decapitated to being able to to crippled or killed with one shot. I'm largely in agreement with you about the female protags; I've learned that muscles *can* in fact get stronger without necessarily bulking up a lot, largely because humans literally aren't even *meant* to get as bulky as bodybuilders do, which's why I've been allowing myself to appreciate women who don't have a visible six-pack as *well* as the ones that do (I still wanna see more visibly muscular female characters that actually *look* like women though), but if her muscles haven't been trained *at all* , a woman *or* a man on their own is *dead* if they don't have a gun to level the playing field; as are all the wokes because in a post apocalyptic world, people go back to following the law of nature, which's that only the *strongest* survive, and wokeism, as an anti *nature* ideology, is an ideology of *weakness* . Woke virtue signalling has no place *anywhere* , *especially* not in a post Apocalypse like Fallout.

Jonathan Nolan isn't just the brother of Christopher Nolan, he's an accomplished professional in his own right who worked on shows like Person of Interest and Westworld. Not saying he won't turn Fallout into a woke disaster like The Witcher, he probably will, if only because that's what the suits upstairs will demand of him, but he is certainly capable of so much better than that...
