I love how Gina understands this situation a million times better than Iger and Kennedy. Or rather, she's calling out what needs to be called out where everyone else too afraid. I'm sure people talk bad about Gina and I'm sure the bad press can sting, but she's got a clean conscience and a substantial backing by speaking her mind. The sooner other people and celebrities nut up and realize that the grass is greener when you take away the cult's power, the better off humanity as a whole will be.

The thing is, funny pronouns do make money. The problem is that money does not come from the customers, it comes from Black Rock and those profits go to the higher ups and not the company.

Disney's so smart they hurt their box office by bloating the runtime to boost streaming hours watched. But a rewatchable 90 minute movie will add more hours than a live-action remake with 50 minutes of filler that's a chore to watch once

While I think its great that Peltz and Purlmutter are making waves in Disney, unless and until that company course corrects, we cant wave the victory flag yet.

I think we all share a similar distaste for hollywood ceos, but i find it oddly refreshing to hear someone say they want to make good movies to return on investment rather than make some ploy at virtue signaling. My only concern would be how they treat the people working on the products: crunch times, layoffs, et cetra

Gina is right, apathy is the death of a franchise. I used to be excited to see every marvel movie or star wars movie since i was a kid. But i can honestly say that in the last 3 years i haven't gone to see a single marvel movie or lucasfilm, i just don't care anymore. It's not even me being cautious and waiting for reviews before making that choice to spend money, i just don't care because i KNOW my money will be wasted.

The firing of Gina Corano was the moment that I realized that you could no longer have an opinion or say anything. Was is bright? I don't know. And I don't care. It was her opinion. So, on that day, I deleted everything that I had. I didn't even finished season two and stopped watching anything that had the word “Disney” somewhere.

I'm 100% with Gina Carano, Trey Parker, and Matt Stone. Whether you like them or not, you can't say that they have been at all unreasonable in their actions. Gina especially.

According to some reports, Disney and KK with the entire executive staff at Lucas Films(2 or 3 other people) are preparing a response to the South Park Panderverse episode claiming they will double down on the “make it a gay woman of color and make her lame” course. Investors will hopefully pull all their money out leading to no budget for theses projects and the outside faction taking over Disney. It will take over a year maybe 2 but inevitably return to quality films and TV shows.

I hope these guys get every thing they want. Like most people, I am so tired of seeing IP's that I love turned into woke horse shit.

I guess my hat's off to Parker and Stone for even touching the subject, but I do think they pulled a lot of punches. This could (and should) have been absolutely brutal, but it gave a lot of bad actors (like Kennedy) some outs. They've been pretty vicious in the past (as with Scientology, and even Disney itself with its China appeasement). A bit more of that spirit would've been called for - and funnier - here.

I recently went to the Lightbox Expo in Pasadena. I met many of the artists who work in Lucasfilm, and Marvel. They are such great people that I had the pleasure to share art and geeking out stuff with. With all this drama in Disney I actually really worry about the welfare those people. Some of those effects are partially why Lightbox Expo was started. They are talented people, and deserve the best.

The problem is they did a good job with Mando season 1 & 2. Then they went full mask off with everything after.

Perlmutter and Peltz should just go ahead and buy up as much Disney stock as they can so they can outright fire KK and Iger.

Gina is right. As long as people are still emotionally invested, albeit in a negative way, they are still invested. Once you hit apathy though its over. You have lost these fans forever.

The people in charge have basically been making what they want to see and attached their egos to them. They still get their millions whether or not the movie is a hit. But as long as Soy Boy and the Laughing Latte gets made they're happy.

The problem with Disney is due to their size they will be the last to turn into the correct direction. They have a lot of corporate elements into the mix that mud their entire movement. From high ego individulas behind some of their franchises, to Disney+ not reaching their mark, to ESG money, plus having some areas full of extreme left wing practically burning money to handle so many IP they dont have a clear idea what is the next step. My take on this is Disney at this at this rhythm will be split into different companies or they will have to licensing many of their IPs.

Remember when the Sonic design from the first movie was shown? Everyone hated it and people came with their own designs and ideas. Paramount weren't stubborn and listened to the right people. Iger got pissed that Ike was arguing with him and, just like with Lucas Film, he broke his work to Pearlman and demoted him to being the head of Marvel *Print* comics and removed *ALL* of his movie authority. Then when Iger was trying to get Chapek fired so he could come back Ike said _"No. Iger caused these problems, Chapek is a fall guy. Fire him if you like bit I am not voting Iger back in."_ Iger obviously got in regardless, and almost immediately kicked Ike Pearlman off the board. Pearlman got almost $5B in Dusney Shares (actually, $0.75bn cash and $4.1bn in shares which are now worth $9bn. When Peltz initially tried to get a board seat he controlled $2bn in Disney stock. Now, after tripling his own holdings and pulling in 3 other unspecified investors along with Ike's shares he has control of...$33bn worth of Disney shares. Voting shares, not regular ones like you or I would buy. He wants *3* seats, not 1 like he was asking for initially. He is going to get at least 2, Ike is going back on the board and Iger, Kennedy and possibly Feige could all find themselves unemployed.

The Disney Star Wars Sequel Trilogy is not canon! In fact, everything from Lucasfilm 2014-present is non canon. The Expanded Universe (Star Wars Legends) is the canon timeline, not Disney’s continuity!
