On the subject of single mothers. I was raised by a single mother and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. A child needs a father. It's so damaging that the media keeps pushing this sort of thing.
As a guy raised by a single mother I second this. I love my mom and she did her best but she is ultimately a mom, a biological woman and therefore not a man. Not even the best mother in the world can capture the essence of being male. Anytime I see a woman delibarately raising her child without a father I die a little inside. It sad how so many people ignore this issue or even encourage it.
Raised by 1/2 a parent; because my mother was trying to balance a job while also taking care of my brother's learning disabilities, so I had to learn to grow up quickly and on my own. Dad was off doing military stuff for years, but when he came back I was a younger teen by that point and he never tried to build much of a connection with me. Having both your parents is invaluably important to a kid's upbringing and it's harmful to pretend like one adult can do all the heavy lifting and perform all the responsibility needed by 2 people, especially when mom and dad provide significantly different things to their kids.
This, is commendable and respectful that a single mother does her best to raise a kid by herself but it's not recommended. That said, single mothers (and fathers) who really care for their kids deserve respect.

Sometimes I'm motivated by by attractive characters but most of the time I just think they are pretty. I want to draw them usually. I'm bisexual so I might not be like other women. I'm attracted to female characters that are attractive as well. I'm not offended in any way by a character that looks good. I want both male and female characters to look good.
As a woman whose very first role model of beauty and courage, at the age of 6, was Taarna the Last Taarakian (how a 6 yo watched "Heavy Metal" on a cinema before "Bambi" is a looong story), seeing beautiful, srtong women always inspired me to try my best to at least be as brave. Life always got in the way, but the dream was always there, to this day .

Noelle from Black Clover manga is a prime example of a strong woman. At first, she was a haughty character due to her aristocratic background, but she was afraid of her own powers because she was internally afraid she might hurt someone. But thanks to her comrades, especially Asta, she overcame and now has full control of her powers.
I feel that Vanessa, Charmy, Grey, and Memosa are better representations of strong women than Noelle. Sure she's gotten better at standing up for herself as the series progressed, but she's still a jerk to Asta, her love interest.
I will never understand why Disney who made all of their money on Family Oriented films and theme parks is suddenly attacking those same families. Why would anyone endorse a company that so obviously hate families now? I think the best way to write good female characters again is by looking back at ones from the early 2000s like Katara, Toph and Azula and at anime girls Despite certain...appeals, female characters from Japan have their own struggles and learn to overcome them, tackling weaknesses and training hard to get stronger that is unique to them rather than copying a man
Outside of eastern media the 90's were the peak of great female characters, many of which were wildly different from their contemporaries. Delenn, Ivanova, Janeway, Dax (both of them), 7 of 9, Samantha Carter, Vala Mal Doran, and those are only the ones I can recall off the top of my head.

Ripley, Leia, Porter, Nikita, Sarah Connor, Trinity, D Flores, Mathilda, Buffy, Selene, Alice, Leeloo, that's just off the top of my head for 90's films alone, and I was born in 89. All of the Disney princesses from that time span. That's what 10? 15? It's very ironic that the modern "strong female character" is actually much more fragile, less developed, and toxic than those that came earlier.

Through the 90s and early 2000s female characters became better as they gained ground and became more equal to male characters. But at some point media and writers become extremely protective of female characters to their detriment. The normal struggles and problems you need in a story to make a character grow were removed because they were considered problematic if they involve a female character. This leaves flat characters with no chance of progression or growth.
Tamora Calhoun from Wreck it Ralph is a great example of a strong female character. Yes, she is a badass warrior and the leader of a prodominantly male soldier squad, but her PTSD and care for Felix makes her human and likeable. Even when she slightly blushes when Felix kisses her on the cheek is adorable. I love her.
Always felt like that was natural, her leadership of pre-dominantly male squadron, they have respect for her cuz of her character, ability and obviously she has their backs. If she was intended to be leader for an agenda IRL, the writers covered that up great. Obviously every writer adds their own agenda in their stories, whether they want to or not but it’s about writing it in a way that doesn’t feel like they’re forcing it on the reader/viewer. When a writer makes a character go O.O.C in order to get that out there, that’s one of the worst things ever.
This just shattered my hopes for the next FF movie. I really hope this rumor that they're going to boss babe Sue Stormm is false. It's totally not her character. She is a family woman and a huge supporter of Reed. The FF is a family it's not just another superhero team.
When IDW, the mainstream comic distributor's stocks, have gone from $40 to 40 cents a share in five years, you know that US comics are pretty much dead. The consumers have been alienated, and only independent US comic book creators (supported by fans) have any chance of making money. And comic book stores are now being reduced to selling Japanese manga and independent US comics to stay in business.
You are aware that this drop is probably because they lost most of their IP's to Marvel when Disney bought them. And that Marvel has retaked Star Wars, Conan etc. They also lost Alien franchise. They might turned woke but I think the lost of all their major IP is what hurt them the most.

The weird part is this happened with a show I used to like but stopped at Volume 7. They made two straight characters lesbian because the wokes wanted it. There might be some characters who are meant to be older and less attractive but they can still have a decent design and costume (I'm talking about say a grandmother type character) Women like clothing and all of that. Damn shame too, some of my favorite characters in fiction are women. Lara croft, jill valentine, samas aran, Ellen ripley...I could go on forever. I think the problem is that at some point writers become so protective of the image of the female characters that basically they regressed to versions that previously only existed in fanfiction. If you remove all the struggles, difficulty and relations from a female character because is considered sexist. You end with boring near perfect characters that is imposible to relate to. And writing stories for said characters is equally difficult because they are already perfect so there is noting left to write about.
It is not just in media that this reducing men so that women will feel elevated. We see it in schools too. Boys--especially White boys--are overlooked in class rooms in favor of PUSHING forward females. We see it in the games those kids play. It was not enough that women FORCED the end of scoring, and replaced it with the 'everyone must play' and 'everyone gets a trophy' ideology. It did not stop there, by adding young girls to the games the boys play they are blunting the competitive edge in boys. How can a strong and fit young boy play hard when his competition is a girl. The one part of Masculinity the feminists never have any problem at all with instilling in young boys that they must NEVER hit/hurt girls.

As someone who played the Horzion series, I’m super proud of the many female fans that have laughed and hated at the destruction and uglification of Aloy in the sequel. Like seriously, the zero Dawn box art is super iconic today and was a symbol of a modern strong females that everyone loved. Fast forward to the sequel and everything changed. The internet clips are all of Alloy giving her creepy smile in important cutscenes. And in-game she wouldn’t stop bitching at Erend, the Sun King and Varl. AND I MEAN IT! When the DLC released and was controversial, the comments complaining weren’t of some internet lonely people, but women who were saying “I called it, these companies are so dumb”.

Pokémon Let's Go did a great job at making the clothes different for both the boy and the girl players, while also having the same number of clothes. Even the boy player characters in Pokémon Red, Green, Blue, and Yellow, and Gold and Silver are uniquely, designed despite not having girl player characters.

Here's a thought experiment. What if a transgender who identifies as female but does nothing to look feminine tries to get on the team? Would they be rejected for not being girly enough or would be accepted solely because they use womanly pronouns? Perhaps their excuse would be, "You're faking it because women are supposed to look like-" enforcing goalposts for transgenders, or it could be "Of course, because women aren't supposed to look like anything," but would invalidate transitioning as a whole.

yeah, absolutely I agree. Just recently a friend of mine’s mother started dating again. It had been quite a long time over 10 years. Since then this woman seems like a different person. She’s taking care of herself more. She has more of a glow to her appearance, and overall seems happier, because making herself attractive for a man that is important in her life makes her better overall. Nowadays, with the whole theme of strong, female, personas and the whole, I don’t need a man mentality women, and by proxy Hollywood’s depiction of them has been shifting focus away from making themselves attractive to men, which intern makes them less attractive to everybody. If you no longer have to worry about being sexy, being cute or being attractive, then you’re just diminishing your whole aura. Think about it a girl who takes time and effort to make herself look cute with the right outfit even the right underwear, the right hair, etc. will come across much happier. Meanwhile, the same woman, not putting any effort going out in some frumpy clothes will come off much differently, not only to others, but even to herself most importantly. These are the reasons why we watch our diet. Make sure we try and get exercise, and do all these little things in our lives to be better versions of ourselves and yes, they should be for us alone only first and foremost, but having others to cater to can go along way to motivating us. Just like my earlier story of the mom who started dating after many years before that, she just wrapped her self up in her job and didn’t even think of herself as a woman in that respect now that she does she’s much better off for it. Her kids notice, her new boyfriend appreciates it and even her coworkers have taken note of her new vitality. The way Hollywood’s going these days with strong women they would have you believe that none of this matters when it absolutely does .
This is so sad for Wonder Woman for example. I like her background and I really want to make a fanfiction about her being a character of Dragon Ball. Like, she leaves the Themiscyra island in her teenage years and encounters Son Goku in the 21st Martial Art Tournament, kicks butts of the Red Ribbon Army, assist the Z-Team against Piccolo Daimyo, etc. That could be pretty epic !

Ironically one of the strongest recent examples of well-written female characters I’ve seen was on The Expanse. It’s based off a sci-fi book series and in my opinion is a big part of why Amazon Prime Studios still exists as it was their flagship show for a long time and is still one of their best. I think what helped was the fact it was a bit of an obscure IP in the beginning so they weren’t trying to appease the “modern audience” but just focused on making a good show that brought out the strengths of the source material.
The only person I can see playing Reed Richards now is Aaron Paul. That guy already has no respect for himself so he'll fit the role of a loser man perfectly. But then again, nobody seems to be calling Aaron for roles outside of Breaking Bad commercials now.
The biggest problem (for me) with Woke media that they are shallow and schematic. Since they are mainly based on feelings, it's more important to their creators for the emotional message than the meaningfulness of the scenes. And because they have concretized feelings for particular archetypes, they have limited character and story variations. Well, because how can you do a variety of stories if, for example, every female character is supposed to be strong and independent, people from racial minorities are victims of racism, and the bad guy is a white male bigot. Which is not to say that garbage is always created. Nimona is a great example of this, even though I have a couple of problems with it.

They don't have the slightest idea of how to write strong female characters, so they either nerf the male characters around them to simulate some kind of superiority, or they make the female lead so powerful and omnipotent and without any kind of flaw, that the audience can't relate to her in any way.
There are so many good reasons why, traditionally, Men and Women, Boys & Girls - enjoyed different pastimes and hobbies. But it all comes down to the reality that males and females are wired differently and enjoy different things. Then for some reason, women had to inject themselves into traditionally male pursuits - and what do you know - they ruined everything they've touched.

There used to be a show about an Indian family that was very popular called "goodness gracious" or something as well as another show about Caribbean barbers that I'm pretty sure had the black guy from the thin blue line. Both shows were minority centric and both were very popular.

Boy do i have news for you 💀 her creator was in a polyamorous relationship with 2 bisexual women who he based Diana off of when he creayed her, in the original wonder woman comics there are tons of times when Diana tells other women that they should get mistresses to treat them better than men. It was also heavily implied in her reboot after crisis ion infinte earths all the way back in the 1980's. As of now, Diana, her mother Hippolyta, and her brother have all been confirmed to be bisexual 💀💀
Being raised by a single mother is definitely not a recommended choice, at least to me. Because not only did I suffer, my mom suffered as well which just made things worse. And also I think society trying to show only stuff about single moms makes a lot of people subconsciously forget that most men are decent, hard working folk. And that most fathers are incredibly loving and inspirational. Because whether subconsciously or not, a lot of people assume that the father doesn't do anything to help out his partner or to raise his kids, and there are also a lot of assumptions I see that assume that men are always the one in the wrong when a relationship goes sideways.
i wouldn't be surprised if lcs forced those trans women to be transgender to begin with by blackmailing them to be transgender women or the transgender women wouldn't be allowed to play the game ever again in any way, shape or form

I won't even say that a Fantastic Four movie with Sue at the helm wouldn't be interesting. Like it or not, she's the most overshadowed of the Fantastic Four, but she's still the glue that holds the family together, so making her role less subtle could be done right (heck, even the Age of Ultron comic showed that she can carry an adventure by herself as the soul member of the quartet, when she broke rank from the other heroes alongside Wolverine to time travel and solve the problem by themselves). But being the protagonist shouldn't mean that she should discard everything she stands for. Nor should it make everyone else incredibly unlikable to facilitate that. Reed Richards being too obsessed with his research and clashing with Sue is nothing new, but the fact that they still keep together is showing that marriages always go through difficulties, but true love always wins. By Wokewood standards, empowered women should be loveless, I guess.
Honestly, its not just in the video game industry that this is happening. Western animation has been turning cute and/or sexy characters ugly for the last 6 or so years. It was subtle at first, but now you can really tell since the whole woke crap spilled out into the streets and into the once creative studios. That's why I've definitely preferred Japanese Anime over anything made in the West.
Congrats on the Critical Drinker appearance, Endymion! I hate what they've done with women in larger projects. Both men and women are equal in so many ways and the best of stories are the ones that balance the character's weaknesses/ strengths, especially when paired with other characters who have different flaws and abilities. As a random suggestion for a new video, how about an analysis of the "ginger-cide" in Hollywood? Why is it that they must always swap a redhead with a black woman? Why not a blonde? A brunette? Or just a woman with dyed red hair? Biological redheads are 1% of the global population are one of the rarest subgroups of race (yes, race, because its only found in caucasians). There's a Red Sonya movie coming that amazingly enough, promises to make Sonya an actual biological redhead (last I heard). I've straight up refused to watch a lot of the projects that have done this with the most recent being the new Ninja Turtles with Seth Rogan.
