This mod is for the ECwolf source port. It works very similar to how mods for GZdoom or similar doom source ports work. You basically drag and drop the .pk3 files onto the ecwolf.exe file and the game launcher should boot up the mods automatically. Alternatively you can set up a shortcut of the .exe pointing to the .pk3 files. For example I have set one like this: "D:\ecwolf-1.3.3_x86\ecwolf.exe -file d:\ecwolf-1.3.3_x86\ecwolf_hdpack.pk3 d:\ecwolf-1.3.3_x86\ecwolf_hdmus_3DO.pk3". This of course would have to be changed to wherever you put the files.
Steam doesn't come with ecwolf installed, its a third party source port (as in made by fans of the game and not ID software). Dunno about the GOG or other digital store versions, but I would be surprised if any versions sold comes with ecwolf pre-installed. Good news is that Ecwolf will autodetect your steam installed Wolf3D folder. There should be no need to copy any wolf3d game files over to where you install Ecwolf.
@@karacsonyilaszlo4363 Yes, specifically the .WL6 files (or .WL1 if shareware demo). If you have the steam version installed ECWolf will autodetect like Zdoom does with steam versions of doom. You drag and drop the .pk3 files onto the ecwolf.exe to run with mod.
@@Artigkar40000000 I don't understand. It is not working... I have a version from ncore, and I'am looking for Wolfenstein 3d TLCM as well but this version is not working as well.

The new updated version of the mod seems to be working, so thats good. Yep, specifically a mod for the ECWolf port of wolfenstein 3D. There is a link to the official zdoom discussion forum thread about the mod in the video description. For some weird reason CeeJay has renamed the mod to "Shoe Shine" patch. Don't ask me why, I am just as confused.
Because "enhacnement mod" or "HD/HQ pack" seemed like such an overused term to me at the time. Shoe Shine seemed fitting and I haven't come across a mod of this type using that term. It is still technically just a HD pack/patch/addon.
