Hi firstly I have to say love your work. I’v made a wedding box for my daughter and trying to carve a rose on the lid, Iv been struggling to find the right small bit, So thanks for sharing
Great project as usual. I wish I'd remembered to shade the bits I was routing out yesterday, I was doing a memorial for my wife's grandfather and accidentally took the centre out a "O" sawdust and CA glue came to the rescue.
It's worth the shading,I've not routed out something I shouldn't have..YET.😂..but I did have a bit go deeper as I was routing, what a mess.lucky for me I was playing with black resin it covered it all
That come out awesome, great job. Just got a new subscriber here. Looking forward to more videos. Great info from you, much appreciated from a new guy getting into this. Thx 👍
@@fishtank5050 can you give me the info for the bits you used for this please. Is it a kit, or did you collect them over time. if its a kit id like to get it. Thanks again
Shane you should get some clear elmers glue and mix some of your paint with it....but only water based paint. then it will only take 1 coat to cover the router lines
mine mine mine (-; you've put a lot of work in to that and what a brilliant touch with the blue eyes, its gorgeous . I see your getting the views and thumbs up and you've not long posted it.. so looking forward to it arriving . cheers school buddy (-; simon
A great thing about discovering a new channel is the treasure trove of videos! Many thanks for sharing. P.s. wherea re you based in the UK? Can I pick up a bit of an East Midlands accent?
Great piece, thanks for sharing. Just a question, wouldn't be better to apply the clear coat before engraving with the router? So, the removed areas have not clear coat and the black paint sticks better.
I've no issues with the paint not sticking. If you clear coat first the router will have to run over it,plus all the dust, then you sand down after painting which will remove the clear coat at the sane time..Always apply clear coat at the end, this will protect the wood and the paint at the same time..the idea of the clear coat is to seal the side Walls of the routed out areas, so that the paint doesn't bleed into the wood..😁👍
@@RobsVette01 stick with it ,dont go to deep,if you are doing deeper cuts,go over them a couple of times, going deeper each time..nice sharp bits, and dry wood also helps
Thankyou for the sub I dont have many..the router I use is a black and decker dn66, they dont even make them anymore, you can still find them on Ebay ,any palm or plunge router will do these projects....
@@fishtank5050 thanks for replying, have you installed a lamp or led in the router to see were you are routing better? It pains me to say it as a man utd fan but I really liked your liver Bird
@@craighardman8487 lol,you are not the first man utd's fan to say that,I did purchase some led lights to use ,they are still in the box..I just keep getting stronger glasses for now...lol
