I bought a pair of 1,000 Mile boots in Spice color (more orange than I would have liked - gonna use VSC to darken them over time). The leather is super supple and boots fit great. They are super comfortable and I love them! Plus got them on sale for $179.
I haven’t seen that color. I got the path less traveled 1000 mile mulch roughout on a wedge sole, kinda like the the one in Dale’s video just a different leather. Got it on a model clearance sale for like $159 or $169. Felt like I stole them.
I have pairs of 1000 miles ( 6000 Miles?) along with another one on the way, so glad to see the love. They are just good light through on boots with great sole options and easier to wear in warmer weather. Please keep up the Wolverine reviews
Yeah it’s crazy how lightweight their leather sole boot feels compared to other boots with dainite or lug soles. I guess it’s because there’s not much of a midsole. Wondering how they will feel when the outsole does wear thin.
The Allen has a flatter and more almond shaped toe. 1000 mile has a rounder toe, and a little bit of a raised toe box structure at the tip. They’re both really great though.
If you’re talking about the Path less traveled version in Mulch roughout, I got those as well. They’re such a great casual boot and that roughout leather rocks.
Hopefully Dale pays it forward and gives away some of his boots to other boot enthusiasts that wear 8.5. I’m size 9.5 E by the way and grown up, can buy my own. Good information by the way.
Hi Dale, just picked up a used pair of Wolverine 1000 mile Camden Chelsea in Cambridge Essex leather. Any advise on how to care for this leather. They're in great shape and don't need anything now but eventually...guess I could just take them to Cobbler Sunny.
What are your go to jeans with boots? I've never worn a pair of boots I always wear sneakers or dress shoes at work. The wolverine boots look comfortable.
I’d say probably keep the same size, I wear 8.5 in Alden Barrie and Wolverine and they’re totally different lasts but I’m happy with the sizing on each
