I love how Logan and the old man start talking about motorcycles and his wife is like "Oh Lord here we go!" Its like she's hearing about how great motorcycles are despite her husband being too old to ride those things. And Logan reminds them of their son who might have had a fascination with choppers and he and his father probably were crazy for motorcycles. I think its like her husband loves to brag about motorcycles more than anything.

Something I don’t think anyone thinks about when it comes to his adamantium claws. The scene where he sits on the fat boy chopper and shows that the metal also increased his weight. If you combine the weight increase with his heal abilities. You got basically an adamantium Zen-Kai boost. I think the we can assume his strength increased as well as having unbreakable bones and claws. Closed the gap in Wolverine’s strength to Sabertooth’s.

Force equals mass times acceleration if you weigh more you can hit harder (this is why weight classes are a thing in the fighting sports) they show this well with fight with duke where he uses that extra weight to knock his head.

@@alecgornall4527 idk is that a Logan movie thing or is it a comic book cannon thing. I remember in the 90s with Onslaught. Wolverine’s mutant ability suddenly took an evolutiontion jump and made him more beast like implying that the adimantium stunted his mutation but reved up when magnito took it out on the Space Station Avolon. I know they scraped that story in-line and brought in Electro to remind Logan that he needs to concentrate and control his beast nature.

@@alecgornall4527 Metal poisoning is non existent when it comes to logan - his healing mutation was suppressed from gmo food (designed to limit and hinder mutants whilst not affecting anyone else) Metal poisoning would take all of 5 seconds to heal from a years worth of damage, it's not a factor at all "Logan" tended to shit on existing lore as it was

No, it was just as bad when it came out. It's been a running joke for years about how bad the claw CGI was in this movie. The salt in the wound was that for scenes like this, there was no reason to even use CGI instead of practical effects - closeups, not an action sequence, hands were out of frame for much of it, etc..

Because there were physical props most the time before. In this they are poorly tracked CGI with lighting the doesn't properly match or react with the scene they are in. If you watch his knuckles they don't quite follow his hands quite right. Its good enough that your brain doesnt know whats wrong with it all, just that there is somethings wrong. Its better than anything I could do dont get me wrong but I get the feeling this scene was rushed or didnt have the budget for it. Not sure why they didnt use props for this.

My theory on why the effects of his claws are so terrible here is because the movie was leaked a month early with unfinished vfx and the studio likely feared lost revenue so when it came to finishing the film, they cut corners to save money and focused on the bigger effects and ones like in this scene said good enough

My best friends uncle worked on the VFX for this movie. I talked to him right after he finished. He actually took a meeting with James Cameron to work on the first avatar movie. I asked him a bunch of questions about this but I can’t remember what he said. About this movie any way. My best friend passed in 2018 so I haven’t had as much contact with his uncle.

The whole cutting through anything part of wolverine's claws never made any sense. Doesn't matter if adamantium is indestructible or razor sharp. You can't slice through steel/porcelain/etc like butter. It's the same way you can't slice through an aluminum plate with a sharp steel knife. You aren't just cutting, you have to divide or wedge the material out of the way around the blade which with a thick metal takes a large amount of force to do.
