Agent Zero/Maverick possessed the ability to absorb kinetic energy, allowing him to survive a 10 story fall or being struck by superhumanly powerful foes like Colossus without major injury. He did have a sort of primitive healing factor provided by Weapon X, it wasn’t anywhere near the level of Wolverine or Sabretooth, and it certainly wasn’t anywhere close to later Weapon X subjects like Deadpool. The extent of his ability to absorb kinetic energy is comparable to Bishop, but less powerful than Sebastian Shaw. He’s more dangerous due to the artificial healing factor that kicks in when he absorbs too much and overloads his power and his extremely high proficiency with firearms and edged weapons.

What we saw was the wound. No blood rolled out to his skin. When the skin healed, it closed up and no blood came out in the first place.

This scene is set in March 1979 (the climax of the film is the X-Men universe version of 3 mile Island). Humvees hadn't just not entered service by that point, they hadn't been designed. It's not the biggest problem with this scene, but it is one that could have been fixed entirely by the prop department

If you really think what we could’ve gotten then you would understand. We wanted movies like Logan and The Wolverine but what we got in 2009 was a bloated movie filled with crappy cgi, crappy characters (apart from Logan and a few select mutants), a storyline that has been done countless times, terrible dialogue and how some mutants are used in this movie. Gambit is sidelined, blob is just a diabetic, Deadpool isn’t Deadpool, and most of the mutants I want to see more of are killed off before they have time to shine.

And absolutely garbage sentiment. Origins Wolverine is the best Wolverine movie that ever is and will be. Deadpool can simply fuk off, idk why people love that character with awful rotten comedy with Ryan Reynolds. Not everything is perfect but this is a real nice movie. Perfect to complement the X-Men, X2, Days of Future Past. Rest of the movies from this franchise are not that good.

Missed opportunity here to kill a cliche - the hero cooling walking away without looking behind him at the explosion they caused .... have Wolverine get hit by shrapnel from the blast and knocked down. Then he reaches behind him and pulls out the bit of metal, tells himself off, dust himself down and walks off muttering about how he's going to get a ride out here.

Can we acknowledge the fact that wolverine’s skeletal structure has been coated with adamantium? He’s literally indestructible. Stryker made him virtually unkillable. Even adamantium rounds couldn’t kill him. Why would they result to taking his head off? Lol

Whenever I watch reactors for this movie, they always laugh at Zero jumping to the helicopter and are like, "When could he do that??" as if he didn't already do that during that compound infiltration when he jumped over that entire barricade. He isn't just a guy that can shoot good. Though since he only does it twice the whole movie, I assume it's not something he does unless he has to; like maybe it hurts to do.

The heck were Zero’s powers in this movie anyway? Seemed like he was super fast and strong the way he did all the crazy jumping maneuvers, and also had perfect accuracy with pistols. If those are actually his powers, why would he bother with the helicopter. Should have just ran after Logan and shot out his tires, then kited him. The way he was keeping up with the helicopter on foot, there’s no chance Logan could catch him. Particularly with him repeatedly shooting Logan’s eyes out. Then the helo just shoots his neck until his head falls off.
