Imagine falling and breaking your neck, but no one takes you to the hospital right away.
That’s exactly what a local woman says happened to her inside the St. Clair County Jail and now she’s trying to make sure something like this doesn’t happen to anyone else.
Lisa Brown takes full responsibility for why she ended up briefly behind bars. But now she says a 20-day jail sentence has left her with a life sentence of partial paralysis and disability.

Even the young female staff had significant notable "hardness" about them. One such person was a guard that escorted me while l was passing meds in the maximum security area. She would take the inmate's empty paper drinking cup, crumple it and toss it on the floor. I later asked her how long she had worked there. Five years, she told me. The boss kept me on the phone for two and a half hours, begging me not to resign when l called him from home end of the week.

She might not have been plastered , she might have had a glass of wine at dinner and it caused her to register as intoxicated. It doesn’t mean she was just guzzling down a case of beer and chasing it with whisky 🥃. I know people who registered intoxicated after not drinking much as all. And they really thought they were safe to drive. It’s why I don’t drink at all. And the fact too many people are being drugged out in public places in their drink. I’m sure Riley Strain the young man in Nashville was drugged. Nashville is having lots of problems with people getting drugged. They might order 1 drink and then can’t walk. Some are getting robbed while under the influence of what ever it is in their drink and some lured away and worse things happen. It’s so scary out there. No doubt she’ll never drink again or probably not drive again either. I think the jail employees need to be fired and not ever hold a job like that again. It’s a position of trust. And one should have been trained to know what medical emergencies are. They don’t have common sense to know a person is injured.

I worked in a county jail. I had an inmate complaint of chest pain. I told my supervisor I’m calling 911 immediately. I was told not to call 911. The jails response was “ These inmates will fake anything just to get out of jail even if it’s to the ER.” I found at later on after my shift was over that that inmate did suffer a heart attack and because his heart attack was delayed in getting him to the ER, he was put in ICU and are stabilizing him for surgery. I resigned the next day. These correctional facilities are inhumane! You go to jail as a punishment. You don’t go to jail to GET punished. Big difference.😡

It wasn't just the deputies they literally said the medical staff in the jail said she was fine. They are deputies not medical staff they trusted the medical staff to make that decision that was their fault to trust the medical staff. Unfortunately there are a ton of people who fake stuff like this that Is why they have a middle man between them and taking them to the hospital. Either way, your tax dollars fund this, so complain all you want, but until there are some actual consequences, it is what it is. There were multiple bad decisions from every party. The victim who was there for a crime dui the deputies who trusted the staff instead of taking someones word that they are in pain and the medical staff for not recognizing that there was significant trauma to this ladies neck.

I don't think education would have helped these officers or the RN in this case. They clearly had a mindset as a group and were completely negligent and irresponsible. I'm amazed that not one person in the 3 days she suffered had it cross their mind to at least call to have her checked out. This is mind boggling to me. As @jerrymoore838 said every complaint needs to be taken seriously until proven otherwise. It's better to get someone help and they not need it than what inhuman behavior they did with this poor woman. I cannot imagine the pain she went through and to just be around some many people that won't help and just drug her around and left her for 3 days like an animal. They are just bad people. This kind of authority needs to be weeded out and removed. They clearly aren't capable of performing their job duties. The America that used to be 50 years ago no longer stands. Every single one of our systems is a failure and they are failing purposely because they are destroying this country from the inside out and no, it has nothing to do with politics because both sides are playing the same game with the same goals. whenever you people finally decide to wake up to the truth from your ignorant false reality, maybe people can come together then and start to push back against the declining of this country that has long been planned. Until then, America is done for.

she endangered the lives of people and coulda easily killed someone had she not been arrested and now you expect her to be rewarded with 5 star room service in a jail cell? if she knows she has issues with rolling during her sleep which everyone will know that then why did she not make the police aware of it so that she isnt forced to sleep on a very high bunk?

I’ve worked in many jails. For one, that wasn’t a wheelchair. That was a restraint chair. They’re specifically not supposed to be used for medical issues or medical transport. Also, when you think someone is faking an injury, that’s when you’re supposed to have already contacted medical professionals. Now, if the deputies did notify their health staff immediately and the health staff didn’t do anything, that’s still not exactly just on the medical staff. Jailers are taught to speak up and speak out. Any human with basic sense should have known something was wrong and should have reached out, at least making an incident report that they thought something else needed to be done. Of course, none of that will be one file because no one did.

No it's not shocking at all. You think they're actually going to fire anyone? They don't fire someone for having an itchy trigger finger, and they're not going to fire anyone for this.
@staticbuilds7613
@staticbuilds7613 Месяц назад
They won't fire a civil servant of any kind usually. They will move them sometimes for a few years though. If anything they just find someone else to blame like the medical service they employ in this instant. American politics are just a never ending blame game these days, well most of the world is I guess.
