@@jorami4838How did he even know what was happening behind him? It seemed only the lady beside her knew what was happening. Someone talking in his ear?
I remember when this was in the news. The woman was both pregnant and diabetic, which gives this more context. There are hours of prep and waiting involved for events like this.
That used to happen to me a lot as a teenager. When I felt it coming on I would find somewhere to sit down. I busted my chin from fainting once and started paying attention to the signs after that.
Obama - "good catch by the way who ever was here ..........." trump (would have said) did you see how I saved her life. Everyone else stood around doing nothing. It took me to see she was in trouble and I was the only one who did anything. I am marvelous I am the best...the best.
Happened to me once in school during class, another time years ago, my twin bro fainted when we were shopping, a terribly situation to be in, it feels like death.
Always happened to me at school assemblies. You loose hearing & hear a humming noise, your eyes dim and you start swaying before either fainting or vomiting. If you told a teacher they'd get you out and on a chair maybe outside.
It happens when you stand there for so long with your knees locked. You have to have a slight bend and maybe bounce a little or you're cutting off the circulation.
@@Black0bsidianhe’s right though, it isn’t just because she’s pregnant and diabetic. See it all the time in the military with even the fittest dudes. Standing in one spot for a long time with knees locked, in the sun and heat, dehydrated, it’s just a matter of time. Although she did hang on for a while here, I’ve passed out before and when it happened to me, I’d feel sick for a minute before, then my vision would get blurry and I’d feel like I suddenly had a fever, and 10 seconds later I was on the ground. Impressive how she was fading in and out of consciousness and didn’t drop for a bit 😂
That woman tried her best to stay standing, she gave it all she had. Kind people around her and a president aware of the needs of others who handled the situation with respect and dignity. Sheesh, I very much miss this level of humanity.

It’s really scary isn’t it? I saw a product at the store. Just stopped to look at it for 5 🖐️seconds. 30 minutes later I’m seeing and ad for the exact same energy drink, same flavor, same container. The matrix can read my mind!

Trump bombed Yemen with drones more in his first two years as president than Obama did in his entire eight, and even rescinded an Obama-era rule that made it mandatory to publish civilian deaths that resulted from American strikes publicly, making it impossible to know how many civilians were being killed by American strikes overseas.
Best President you had for many years. He really cared about everyone. Wish he would stand again. Sending love & blessings from this side of the pond. ❤🇬🇧
What do you mean? That girl would of busted her head wide open if it wasn’t for the guy. The girl next to her was barely holding her and just laughing.
No clue why fainting is in my recommendeds suddenly, but this is so beautiful to see everyone so caring and kind and professional, especially the President.
at 1:14 I noticed she had an Omnipod on her arm (insulin pump for Type 1 Diabetics) which means there’s a good chance she was hypoglycemic or her blood sugar was spiking, which really sucks. Hope she’s ok :/
My favorite part was when he said “This happens when I talk too long.” He took what was an embarrassing moment for the lady that fainted and turned it into a joke. I hope the lady is okay now and I hope she went on to have a healthy baby regardless of what the gender turned out to be.
@@claramaxwell6446 no I'm so lost...so she's pregnant? She looked as if she was exhausted. You imagine how long you must be there waiting, all yhe stuff you must go through. She definitely has a story to share at family gatherings, the watercolor, the bus and in the grocery store...lol
Noted the problem. Made eye contact. Supported her body before she fell. Reassured her. Made a self-deprecating joke to take the stress off her. Did not let her go until help arrived. Continued to support and reassure. He did everything you do to make sure she would be alright perfectly.
Ruined everybodys health care doubling most for no reason while the same people still get it free by showing up to the emergency room with no insurance.they cannot refuse to treat you period
Compared to the more extremes we have now, I'd love to have a proper centrist come along. Frankly, a lot of politics these days feels like kids hurling insults at each other during recess.
Whether you liked former President Obama or not you have to be highly impressed with his calm and very cool personality in handling any situation. For him to notice the girl was in trouble, make a joke and then offer a solution in front of an audience shows an extreme level of confidence.
His personality is what got him elected. And then he sent airplanes full of cash to iran, and screwed every young healthy person into getting useless health insurance or pay a fine. He also called the constitution an outdated document referring to guns. He also ignored Hillary's 30,000 deleted emails.
Instead of looking in her direction and saying I got you (1min 2secs) he plays to the gallery and turns away from her and says it, a true gentleman would have helped her properly.
@@03056932 I have no clue what you are talking about and makes so little sense and provides so little information that I wouldn't even know how to find whatever supposed emails to which you're referring.
As someone who has fainted many times, I can confirm how embarassing it is to faint in public; it took me several serious falls to realize it is better to sit down when in danger of fainting, instead of risking a fall.
@Mike Studmuffin I'm not diabetic, and isn't fainting caused by low A1c, not high A1c? Plus, how do you know it is A1c? It could be any number of other things.
Did you by chance lock your knees? This is why most people faint in situations like this. My choir teacher drilled this into our heads because apparently people do it without realizing it. Personally, I'm very grateful I was taught that because I know myself, I definitely would have locked my knees and not even realized. By the way I'm so glad that you are ok. Don't get embarrassed it is life. Try to think of it this way, if it's the worst, most embarrassing thing you ever go through your incredibly lucky. I know its hard, but it makes sense. If it happened when you were a kid in front of your peers that's a different story. Kids, are absolutely cruel to each other it is horrible.
@@kentslocum I was taught not to lock my knees by my choir teacher because it will cause you to faint evetyytime. I think because all your blood pools down and leaves, the brain depleted of oxygen. Ok there is not a chance in hell I explained that medically correct but it sounds good. I am serious about locking your knees though. I'm so grateful that my choir teacher drilled this into our heads. She did because apparently people lock their knees and aren't aware they are doing it. So you have to consciously tell yourself NOT to lock your knees.
@@icnataliejune84 Very true! It has happened to me on more than one occasion. However, pubescent "queasiness" runs in my family, so I have fainted while sitting down, as well.

so many positive traits of a person are highlighted in this sudden event. surroundings awareness, calmness, speed of thought, compassion, emotional intelligence, altruism
I love how he didn’t just ignore it. He stopped in the middle of his speech, not just to ask if she was ok, but to make sure she got to safety. And even then congratulated the person at caught her. And didn’t take any offense to it after, that’s what anyone should do, not just the president. Good on him for taking the time to make sure she was ok :) Edit- some of these comments on this are disappointing Political views aside, the man did what was right at that point in time. He took time to make sure they young woman was alright and got to proper care. No matter one’s political view we should be able to agree what he did was right.

Heat and dehydration can do that. She may have been standing a bit too long too. You can see her start feeling a bit off an then you can watch it get worse as she gets to ignore it. Never ignore your body's signals. I'm glad she was ok.

I agree we clap to way too many things, like the end of a movie, the people who made it aren't there! But in this case, I actually understand it. Whenever someone is sick/hurt during an event, especially sports or music events, when someone comes to help them and takes them away, we clap. You can find some interviews of injured athletes who talk about how they felt hearing an entire stadium clap and cheer for them after they got hurt. Part of it is also in response to medical professionals who come to help or escort someone. In this specific case, part is probably on the woman for managing to keep it together for so long (apparently she has type 1 diabetes and was pregnant at the time) and partially for Obama who recognized something was wrong, actually helped hold her instead of just letting the other people or his staff do it, and making a funny comment to make sure she didn't feel bad about "interrupting" and to help keep others from being too worried.
