This woman should not be dead and the criminal needs to be charged with 1st degree murder...

My sister works with the niece of the victim and she said that her aunt was a wonderful woman.

To the Dandan family: I’m sorry for your loss. But it’s not a mental health issue. She wasn’t his first victim. He has been victimizing women & others since long before 2013. This time he was simply caught. I’m so sorry the system failed your family as it has so many others. If he had been in jail for the 24 prior crimes he was actually caught for since 2013, and if Laura’s law had been applied, it’s very possible your aunt & his other victims would have been spared.

I felt so sad about the killing of this lady. She worked hard for the hotel for last 40 yrs and died this terrible way. With the killer caught, hope she rests in peace.

It happened to a good friend of mine who was sucker punched & was attacked, landing his right fist to my friends face. This brought my friend down hitting his head on the street asphalt. This crime occurred at the Marina Green close to the Tennis Court 2 yrs ago. Without provocation , this homeless black man around 6Ft Tall just came out of nowhere just attacked my friend. Mind you my Asian American friend is 70 + years old at 5'8feet & 150lbs. was no match against this criminal. The Police took him to the hospital as an emergency & was in the hospital for a months recovering from broken knees ( homeless guy stumped my friend's legs & knees after he fell down). The Police arrested the criminal & the SAn Francisco District Attorney let that criminal go after 2 weeks. That same District Attorney that was recalled or voted out in 2023.

Where’s the demonstrations from the Asian communities in SF area? Where are the Pinoy politicians in the Bay Area calling for justice?

I see people going into Bart easily without paying at Powell Station. I am always scare of homeless or mentally challenged individuals and try to keep my distance away from them.

Filipinos are murdered left and right and forgotten. Why get outraged when nothing will be done about it? According to BART Police it’s a very rare occurrence and should be ignored. The DA is not enthusiastic about filing charges. The train was the direct cause of death. The pusher was having a bad night.

Five minutes about the family and the sweet lady, a few seconds about a 49 year old mentally ill male. People dont understand how difficult it is to immigrate here and lead a successful life, especially from a third world country. My family is the same. Went through all the struggles. It is an absolute tragedy her life was cut short by a madman.

Government pays Television stations to say no too drugs . They turn around and dispense drugs like it’s candy.

It is clear to see these is a Christian family, God give them grace for this tragedy, and I hope they are loved by the community during this horrible time. And I pray to God mentally ill people are taken off the streets and placed in proper care, this type of tragedy should never happen in a country as rich as the US. Aren't we better than this? Trevor Belmont Prosecutors said they charged Trevor Belmont, 49, also known as Hoak Taing, for the July 1 killing. They accuse the defendant of fatally shoving 74-year-old Corazon Dandan into the path of a Millbrae-bound train at the Powell Street BART station. This means only one thing, it's possible she was a vampire. . .
