India, as a country they’re local and federal governments, are 100% OK with these call centers calling Americans and scamming them out of their money. This is an act of cyber warfare.

Exactly! They're not "elaborate". They're the same scam, same wording... they're not even clever. But then, why should they be? People really are "dumbed down" and have no common sense anymore.

This old lady fell for the scam, stop trying to blame the bank employee (who by the way only gets paid minimum wage for the job) for trying not to stop her bank transfer. It's not the employees responsibility to stop you from sending money. The old lady should've called Amazon herself to see if this was legit. Only one to blame is herself and the scammers.

She must’ve logged into her bank account after downloading AnyDesk. What they do is have you log into your bank account, then they blank out what the victim sees and edit the HTML of the page to make it look like they wired the victim money. Even at that point she could have checked directly with her bank and saw that there was no Amazon charge and no wire into her account. The bottom line is that a person should NEVER download software to give someone on the phone access to your computer and ALWAYS call or login to your bank on your own to verify any questionable charges.

This is why my mom is not allowed to order anything on the internet. Her children order everything for her on Amazon and anything else she wants or needs. We also check on her to make sure she isn't "friends" with anyone she doesn't know on Facebook. Glad she really doesn't like Facebook and doesn't have any other social media. She also reads all the scam articles in her AARP magazine. My mom knows not to answer emails she doesn't know. I feel bad for this woman. 😞

NEVER call a tech support number in a RU-vid comment. We almost got scammed by a guy named "Billy Johnson" calling from India. Actually let him get remote control to unlock our Gmail account but realized it was a scam before any real damage was done. Shut off the power to kick him out and we had to stay vigilant for a couple months.

It takes a dozen levels of gullibility to get taken by this scam. (1) This scam is old, frequent and all over the news. (2) She didn't verify the error with Amazon. (3) She didn't verify that the extra money was entered to her account (it wasn't, it was just a fake web page). (4) She didn't ask anyone for advice (this scam is so well known that almost anyone would have warned her). (5) She didn't verify that the crooks were Amazon (they weren't). (5) She let the crooks take over her computer. (6) She didn't check with police (who would have instantly recognized the scam). (6) She didn't verify the error with her bank. (7) She trusted someone who she didn't know, had no business dealings with, and who sent her an obviously fake email. It takes a lot of gullibility to fall for this -- not once, but 3 times!!

Although older divorced or widowed or always single are nearly the only ones who are in these videos, there is a wide range of people of all ages, people who are male AND female, who get scammed. The scammers target men AND women, wealthy AND non-wealthy, in countries all over the world. Scammers don't care who a person is, the money they demand is all they care about. There is no stereotype as to who they contact.

The woman didn't lose her money. She willingly gave it. If a person resists feeling fearful, really looks at the emails, they will see through the scam. The reason Law Enforcement doesn't try to prosecute these scammers more often is that the people willingly gives their money with personal ink on paper signatures or an electronic signature. Even if they could find the scammer or the company they work for, the money was legally given. Signatures indicate this. It would be as easy to prosecute a scammer along with or just the scammer themselves as it would be to prosecute a restaurant or its employee when the person ordered food, ate it all, then claimed they didn't want the food.

My mom often gets emails like this and I have to remind her constantly to just ignore them. She is curious and wants to know what it is and the why's of it. I told her to NEVER click on anything in those emails. If you know that you did not do it, just open a new tab on your own and go to your Amazon account to confirm that there is not a charge there. NEVER call a number that is in an email if you must call, google the phone number yourself. That's it! Simple, over and done with, but she just really wants to know why they are doing it. That curiosity is what gets people in trouble! JUST SIMPLY IGNORE IT OR AT THE VERY LEAST CHECK YOUR BANK ACCOUNT AND AMAZON ACCOUNT WITHOUT CLICKING ON ANYTHING IN THE EMAIL! After that, just let it go! People are out to get your hard earned money. Don't wonder the why's of it, they just are!

I was scammed and I did not realize until I lost a very large sum of amount which 75% belonged to my 15 coworkers and friends. Needless to say, I am now stuck in a very large debts that I would lose my house and everything my wife and I worked for in 30 years. I would never be able to pay the amount that I owed to my 15 coworkers and friends. I reported my case to the local police but the a..hole looked at me and smirked like how stupid cam you be to loose that much money. I reported my case to FTC, FBI, State AG and US Secret Service but I got no support. My bank closed my account when I reported that I was tricked to wire the funds to Hong Kong bank accounts instead of helping me recovering the wired funds. There is no help from any law enforcement agencies. No one cares.

*HONESTLY, HE'S AN AMAZING PERSON. HE USES HIS TIME, MOVES AND BASICALLY HIS LIFE INTO HELPING PEOPLE WHO ARE LESS FORTUNATE. USING AN EXCELLENT MONEY RECOVERY MODEL AS WELL IN MAKING PROFITS, HE REALLY IS STILL DOING IT OUT OF HIS OWN HEART. YOU REALLY ARE A SAINT HIGH GIZMO ON THE WEB AND A WONDERFUL WONDERFUL PERSON. LOVE FROM ALLSTATE.*

Bless your heart 𝗔𝗗𝗘𝗣𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗔𝗟𝗬𝗦𝗧. Its so sad how the scammers prey on the elderly and the uninformed public. Bless you and all others who fight against these crimes. Its horrible how mainstream media is not doing the right thing by shining light on these things to help the public

Hilarious, 𝗔𝗗𝗘𝗣𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗔𝗟𝗬𝗦𝗧 I love the work you do mate. Those low life scammers take money from old ladies, they have no soul or heart and deserve everything you give them. Your doing a service to humanity. Love the videos, keep doing the good work mate.

I'm a police officer and I'm tired of taking these reports where people are scammed anywhere from 100 to seriously $53,000. Its unfortunate that have to sometimes tell them that cannot do anything to bring them justice 𝗔𝗗𝗘𝗣𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗔𝗟𝗬𝗦𝗧 Seriously thank you for fucking with these assholes.. You make me want to spend the next 10 years learning how to do this lol

I'm honored to have this team around in this hard time Thank you for always supporting and helping me with your money recovery plans to the fullest! Thanks *strong widget! on the internet* The world has been pretty bad lately. Almost everyone have been crying practically, but it kept happening. That's what you get when you feel you can navigate the process on your own. Big thanks to you. I'm not bothered with how bad the world is because my assets are insured due to your advice and I still receive my money back.
