Woman Spots Great White Shark Next to Her & Reacts How Most People Would: Complete Surprise!

In this weeks' video I share another typical beach scene from Southern California. These are merely observations remember. Once again, a great white shark comes very close to surfers that have no idea it is there. However, now there's a trend. People are now recognizing the drone signals a shark is nearby. Instead of avoiding the area, folks are now approaching the sharks by looking for the drone.

When you spend a lot of time around sharks it can be very easy to forget you’re dealing with an apex predator. They can seem so curious and docile. Then you see them hunting, and you realize really quick how unfathomably powerful these animals are.

@@GMObkirchner I think there is no point antropomorphizing and assigning moral responsibility to any animal. Humans assume risks entering their habitat and rubbing elbows with them. One way to look at it is to appreciate the behavior of the surfers as very graceful and showing no aggression...

@@raymondsublett3108 To be honest, weapons are to a human what teeth are to a shark, a means of survival. It's not like we are using a cheat code or something, it's simply that people are better at problem solving than sharks. That doesn't mean that the solutions we come up with are not destructive or that they are wise. It just means what it means. As a side note, it is really disturbing to see people act so carefree in the presence of danger. Learning to co-exist with a top predator (or nature in general)/ accepting the dangers of swimming in the sharks territory and actively playing with fire are 2 different things. I hope none gets hurt and that people would be come more level-headed.

Thanks for your work to add to our scientific knowledge. I also appreciate your effort to warn those whose ignorance puts them in possible harm’s way. You’re doing two of the most difficult jobs I’m aware of, and from my perspective very well.

Thank you for the work & education you provide. It's so sad to see plastic & garbage in the ocean😢. We must be aware of leaving trash around when we go to the beaches.

I've noticed the younger sharks tend to stay at the 'tail end' of the larger sharks when they interact with each other--not too surprising as a favorite food item for larger sub adult white sharks is smaller sharks.

I grew up, swimming, and boogie boarding in these waters, completely oblivious, thank goodness, to whatever was below me. But, now that I know, I’ll enjoy the ocean from afar! However, This Is Fascinating to observe! Thank you!! 🙌

Every child should be taught not to stalk and molest wildlife. What a horrible species.

Humans are vile creatures. We hunt, fight, kill. It is the human way. We are only the dominant species on the planet as we are the only ones to kill at distance. Every other species has to be next to you to kill. Many humans have no respect for nature.

@@ellierose6 yes we are predators, we are also part of nature. if you don't like human nature then you don't like nature. like animals, we also hunt and stalk.
