Wombat won, if wrighty prepared more, knew his bars off by heart he would of had way more confidence and it would of been a hella close clash! Big respect to them both 🔥👑
Most ppl dont realise that Wombat just before this clash had just finished off a Solo tour of Australia, not to mention his collabs with several international artists he' s been working on, at most he had 2 weeks or less to even think about this fucking clash, he did a hell of a job just to turn up, Wrighty on the other hand, called out Wombat, and others , and then sat on his ass and did nothing to prepare for months, Wombat won just by showing up.
@@martynapalm4950 Wombat's on 27 Levels Straight Up Sensational to Hip Hop Streamers" He Deserves Every Success, Especially when he Raps way Different Flows 🔃 Like T-Pain YELLED OUT!! "BRING ON SOMETHING NEW" Don't do the same old...Wombat's Creative; USA loves the New Style.
When you doing a clash you should always be prepared . Each had time to prepare and wombat did his thing , wrighty could have done well if he prepared better . Disappointing that this was the first proper clash for Australian grime .
I actually prefer to watch your videos the first time I hear a song you bring extra vibe And energy to the music I love it! Best content, keep killing it bro
Hell yeah it moves the culture forward bruz - first clash ever? Someone had to be the first, now it's open season for everyone else and it can only build from there. Good review on this one bruz, I agree with a lot of the points
And yes Chazza... Got beef has started re-releasing battle rap battles from 2010... I couldn’t imagine the crazy hype if this was started again in 2020 🤯 There was only a hand full of big names and battles back then, Now... I can count off the top of my head 25 big names in the scene that could clash...
I think this does something for grime in aus if it encourages people to send for people in future, which I think someone did try already send for wombat which he rejected, but if nothing comes of it then probably didn’t do much imo
“You don’t wanna try cos I die for this rap shit Why would you clash this? That’s like catching a ride hitch hiking with Ivan milat I’m driving in bat shit” If you didn’t catch that part, look up who Ivan Milat is
hey brother love the content you put out big fan from aus, could you react to Kobie dee still standing it’s he’s new track he dropped just before Australia Day here in aus which he’s using he’s lyrical talents to tell our story as aboriginal people and how we feel on a day like Australia Day ( Australia Day for us symbolises the first fleet coming to Australia and the beginning of mass genocide and raps and killing of our woman and children for generations and generations which some forms of the racism is still going on to this day ) Kobie Dee is such an underrated artist and he definitely needs more exposure especially to overseas markets let alone here cheers! 🙏🏽
Yo chazza do you think weighty bit big nasties (uncle pains) style with the pitch work in his bars I thought he sounded similar. I haven't heard anyone point it out...
Wombat definitely has taken this much more seriously than Wrighty... In saying that the win definitely means much more to Wombat than Wrighty... If Wrighty was on his game this would have been closer... But it is what it is... Overall watching this twice I give this 7 to Wombat 3 to Wrighty...
See wrighty wasnt prepared bro he posted on his insta the day after the battle then a few days later he’s gone an deleted all his social media he knows he choked hard he didn’t come into it prepared enough but I still feel he’s done some good for the grime scene an culture in Australia coming from an Aussie who grew up listening to uk grime my whole life an over the last year or two australia has really lifted off but that’s my opinion should continue on the upwards spiral in the scene in oz
Love the video mate, agree that Wombat killed it. I disagree with a comment you made about "doing it for the culture" Doing something for the culture isn't bound to pre-existing scenes or following a trend. Trying new things, approaching things in a different light to artists in the past etc ARE for the culture. People don't want the same old, same old. I too loved the acapella battles but there is a reason that it died out. There is only so much of the same material that you are able to consistently watch and still enjoy it the way you did when you watched the first battle. We need content that is mixed and fresh. Im disappointed that this was a low budget / low quality shoot. The camera work should have been way better, consistent stable shotss, clean transitions between the two and maybe even throw in a couple close ups of the audiences face to certain bars. The quality of the shoot is disappointing. If the crowd engaged more with the two, it would have raised the energy in the atmostphere resulting in a better show for the artist and listener. That's a big part why I loved the old rap battles, seeing the audience and hearing them react made it priceless. Wrighty was too unprepared and I personally struggled to listen to him. I understand the tone changes in his voice on certain words but the way he executed it sounded like a cat that was caught in a house fire and jumped out the window too safety but ended up getting ran over by a Hilux.
I’m disappointed too the best ever in Aus for battling is Dunn d and that’s a fact and even Dunn d vs kogz was fantastic and kogz isn’t a battle rapper I know this is a clash but if this was a battle Rap it would of been better it would just sound better with no beat and I feel like wrighty wouldn’t of choked coz he has to stay on beat
Best ever to come out of aus and the only person from aus besides manaz Ill to go international and shred on them deffs not the best in the battle scene but he’s up there from some dude from tassie
@@jaydengray5988 heaps have gone international. Justice won scribble Jam in 05 which was the gold standard for battle rap at the time, Eminem came up through Scribble . 360 and Anecote went to the world rap champs, and 360 went to kotd.
Chris Allen damn you an og probs to that I didn’t realise justice went international and I didn’t listen to or watch anecdote so I didn’t know he was from aus and I forgot about 360 but I swear he has like 1 battle for kotd Dunn has battle some of the biggest international names and won
im only just getting into australian rap, ive always hated the accent but i think i should know a bit about it as im an australian rapper myself, so i was wondering if anyone could give me a few good australian artists/songs to listen to.
Chillinit - One Breath , One Take/Dust To Dust Alex Jones - Leave A Message/Blind Wombat - Bungee Cord/When Words Fail, Music Speaks Huskii - BodyTheBooth / Barely Awake and Paranoid Triple J Unearthed Cypher Hope this helps dude
Wombat won this hands down because his better hands down and im a Wrighty fan but Wrighty had no chance soon as he messed up in his first set and if you listen he even said why this early like he planned to fuck up his bars so if his going into the clash and thinking in one of the rounds his going to fuck up then his already lost in my eyes. like as Wombat said in one of his bars he had no reason to take this clash he was doing Wrighty a favour and doing this for practice.
