Stanford's last runner wasted the valiant effort of the 3rd runner. What a shame that she fumbled. Too excited to run without taking care of the baton.
Amazingly dumb the fact that they can't teach or enforce getting out of the way during hand offs! Fortunately it didn't play a major role in the outcomes, but it just looks like they can't fix it, enforce it or care about it. Bet if they start handing out time penalties or placements, it would clear up very fast!
they can force it but won't it actually falls under impeding another runner. When this occurred while I was running I dang near knocked the impediment on his arse.
First to second exchange A&M incoming runner is simply out of order. Instead of passing the baton and immediately moving towards the inside to get onto the grass, she moves outward and blocks the UT outgoing (2) runner. Very lucky that the UT runner didn't crash into her and fall down. Simply atrocious and no excuses! She needs a stern warning from her coach about being aware of her position during the exchanges. High time the NCAA introduced rules for the exchange.
How these commentators don't know 2nd leg is Joanne Reid from Arkansas when I can read the name off her shirt. They said 2 different names and none of them correct. They watch these athletes all year
That is not entirely true, and just because you may be able to read their names on this video, it's where the commentators are located in the building at least they apologized beforehand. They are collegiate athletes and these commentators only host this meet. They get a fact sheet from the coaches and like he stated some pull out and switch the order of the running just before hitting the track
@@daashikii OK, makes sense. However it would have been the fastest indoor 400m time ever breaking a 41-yr old WORLD record had Bol not broken it earlier this year. So it is the 2nd fastest of all time. Impressive!!!
Those were some of the worst handoffs ever. I was a 4x800 runner and during exchanges u hand off the baton and run into the center of the track. Should've been multiple disqualifications during the second and 3rd handoff
