La nuit easily my favourite. I was quite sure it would win but that group of teens pumped Y EDP way ahead. Ladies often like the simple stuff though thats why sauvage is also so popular with them.

…or, today I choose cat urine…😆. I think Kouros is great, especially if you can find a vintage bottle that has been stored correctly. But, it’s not what most people expect out of a fragrance these days. I wear it for me… not really caring if others approve. But I do still get complements on it!

I love the reactions to Kouros, as a huge Kouros guy. It's an animalic musk fragrance which means that it's at a severe disadvantage on paper rather than skin compared to the others which are pretty safe and clean. If you smell it on clothing or paper it's probably gonna smell like someone took a piss, but on a guy who has the right body chemistry, doesn't have BO, it smells luxurious. Still funny to see their reactions though lol.

I think it’s the Civet in Kouros that many don’t like. I do like it, and wear it just on Friday’s to work. It really upsets a lot of people 😂 (but they know now & are expecting it) and makes for a great segue into the weekend . 💫😁

Yes, glad to see L'homme getting some love! I was in Sephora trying fragrances this weekend, and they sold 3 bottles of L'Homme from me standing there wearing it(my signature for 11 years) 😜! Not really a compliment puller, but it is so versatile, and there's a rare kind of gal who just think it is the bees knees.

Yeah I used to wear L'Homme, I can't tell if they reformulated it much but it smells vaguely different to me, though D&G L'Homme smells totally unlike I remember. L'Homme is just this really nice, classy, inoffensive fragrance that women love but works real well for an office fragrance and can be worn in summer, the main problem is it's a swiss army knife that lasts 4 hours tops.

I am a fan of YSL perfumes my favorite was M7 2002 but I have used KOUROS (totally different scents than I like) and I tell you my experience. When I first wore KOUROS it I was like what's with this deadly smell. After about 4 hours I said it was the most wonderful smell in the world. So it's a scent you have to give time to.

I tested YSL Y edp at a store, fell in love and they gave me YSL Le parfum at the checkout. At home I tested it on skin and was kinda shocked at how different it smelled, but thought maybe it's just skin vs paper strip. I had no idea I had bought a different perfume until now 🤦‍♀ Can you do a video about Le parfums of both YSL Y and YSL L'Homme? Idk what format, but I'd love to hear your and others opinions :)

@@MrAbi123 I think YSL EDP smelled better, it felt exactly like what I imagined a fresh scent should be, but honestly I am not sure - It's been months and I didnt have any perfume experience back then. I'd say test them both in a store and then order it online to save some money. I'm starting to like Le Parfum too though, it smells like sweet grapefruit peel and a bit smokey, I am liking it much more during winter than summer tho.

This is ironic I ordered the edp thinking I was getting the Le parfum over a year ago and kinda had the same feeling/reaction lol. But to add It’s one of those cases where whichever version you have or like the most. Can’t go wrong with either. But if you have one and like it smelling the other will not wow you enough to say yoy need both if you aren’t a collector/reviewer. (Personal experience) I got my nose on the Le Parfum a couple of weeks ago at Macy’s and liked it but not enough to say I needed it while just coming around to liking and wearing Y edp (now that it’s colder to really get into it). The associate agreed with me in this. Went into the mall to the cologne guy in the booths held conversations on different fragrances and we both agreed on the YSLs & no need for more than one lol

In the late 80’ties when I was a very young club’goer I wore Korous. The girls jumped on me and I got my fair share of ….. Man those were the days 😋 Later in the 90’ties I wore Lagerfelt classic and that pushed up the game 😋 In the 2000’s I wore Acqua Gio and pushed up the clubbing even further. After 20-30 years of clubbing I stopped (clubbing) Now I wear Guerlain Vetiver in spring and autumn Guerlain homme in summer and Ideal intense for winter. And that’s the sad story of my scent/love life.

I admire that too everytime 🙌 There are some people who say 'you have to change the order every time'. I'd say try this yourself 🫡 I also admire Curly's positivity/perseverance despite the fact that sometimes she only gets rejections 10x in a row from women who almost brake their legs trying to run away as soon as they hear the word 'RU-vid' 🥲 but ofcourse I know I'm the only one who sees this being the camerawoman. As a fragrance snob and collector, its probably most generic and boring fragance that i own. It doesnt smell bad, but not that good for me either IMO. Definetly not unique but most people like it so it gets the job done very well.

I have them all, and I like them all. Just got an unsolicited compliment wearing La Nuit the other day. Actually, I just got a traveler of the new YSL EDT from YSL. I kinda like it better than the older version. I also picked up YSL L'Homme Cologne Blue and L'Hommr Eau De Parfum from Macy's and YSL this Black Friday. You kinda can't go wrong with YSL. People will like them when you wear them, except for Kouros. I like Kouros. I love dirty fragrances like Salome etc. Should be getting Fate Man tomorrow in the mail, so. Yup, might be getting a couple of Serge Luten's soon too. One will be their cumin and caramel, Le Participe Passe . I like them clean and sweet, clean and fresh, and down right dirty. Ya know Curly, I was just sampling Byredo's Mister Marvelous, and there's a likeness to YSL's Y EDT. There are slight similarities. It's the woody aroma chemicals that are alike. This sample is about 3 to 4 years old. Anyways, best holiday wishes.

Y EDP is my SOTD and still going strong, the edt lasts about 15 seconds on me spraying heavy, abysmal performance. YSL L’homme is one of my top ten, nailed down a certified compliment with it a few days ago. Can’t go wrong. ❤️❤️😘

None of the 80's frags smell the same anymore, they've all be messed up after the EU regs were applied. I just got the old bottle style paco rabanne xs and it's completely different. Dread to think what the new bottle shape smells like. I also have CK obsession, it smells similar but still not as complex as it once was.

Got to try the Ysl Y, I miss it because my signature fragrance is La nuit de l'homme the EDT version, is the most balanced in the line and one of the best in the fragrance world absolutely, but I think I will upgrade it with Pure Love or Wood e Spices by Montale. For almost the same price with Montale I get more sillage, greater performance and better quality overall. Surely if I try L'homme EDT, it will be one of my everyday fragrance, especially in the summer.

Great video Michella. My bottle of ysl y edp doesn't have the word edp printed at the lower part of the bottle. Maybe the old batch. And very long lasting from morning to evening. If you do the scent like kouros, just try nishane patchouli koza. I don't like the scent. Very smelly but strong. I just thrown the decant into the garbage dump. Nishane munegu is lighter and better than koza.
