I wish commentators would stop talking about "failures". It's just too loaded. These women can jump as high as a domestic door frame and that takes a lot more than luck. Try it some time. High jumpers talk in terms of a "miss".

pablo chuken _I totally agree with you pablo! I recommend this_ program im using to any athlete who wants to maximize_ _their vertical jump and quickness. I tried it myself_ _and It gave me an intense regimen and gained_ _tremendously. Thumbs up if this helps._

@msbunnypaws As a 3rd Grade boy I fell in love with high jump at public school field day. Went home, built a high jumb standard, got bamboo for a bar and jumped every moment available. Today the Fosbury Flop which these ladies are doing has hurt the sport. Landing on the neck as they do has caused many schools to drop this event. The "pit" cost is astronomical. It is sport - no poles or balls or rackets - just your body and how high. So fine.

Both very attractive. Are those dorky outfits necessary to maximize their high jump? Also, where did this air? I guess the UK? I could never do that -- looks very difficult. I wonder exactly how one gets into high jump. Not the most popular or famous sport!

Fierce compatition between Chicherova and Vlasic is the only way one of them to beat Stefka Kostadinova's world record of 209sm after 25 years. Kostadinova herself thinks it will be Vlasic, but we`ll see... I hope she`s wrong as I`m Bulgarian but thease two are great athletes.

Fun fact; While men are mainly stronger than women with arm, torso, and upper body strength, women are mainly stronger when it comes to lower body strength. That's why the woman's strongest body part is her legs. That's also probably why women have more endurance than men, and why men can lift more weight using upper body strength.
