Amazingly, Serena had already just won the Singles Gold Medal vs Russian, Sharapova. She was still a little tired when she played and won this doubles match with Venus. Fantastic.
serena is awesome from the base line when venus is just okay, venus is amazing at the service line when serena is just okay, so pretty much the ultimate team
Venus and Serena are legendary players. It is a shame that the US did not appreciate them enough or give them the necessary and appropriate recognition that they rightfully deserve.
It might be intuitive bc she is the elder one but I find Venus taking the lead when playing doubles. Even though Serena is my all time favorite tennis player, I find Venus to be the more reliable and better doubles player.
I disagree with you... Venus has the more errors than Serena; and Venus' errors come at the most critical times, usually at the tie break and on the second set... 2nd; Serena has just finished playing singles that day versus Sharapova, and it's pretty obvious she is still tired, thus, her lackluster, tight plays and her errors on the first set...
I truly enjoy watching the Williams combination playing doubles, more so than singles. Serena bounces around a lot at the service & not do as much as she could. Venus on the other hand, is an exceptionally gifted volleyer.
This was such a tight game. The Russians really made USA work for it. A much closer game for Williams than the Final rounds in singles and doubles. 10:12 Match start 7-5. 1:10:06 2nd set 6-4.

Amazingly Serena won several majors singles titles and then in the same major tournament, went on to win the doubles championship. That's not easy. Of course the Russian doubles players here would have more energy/not be as tired as hardworking gold-medal-in-singles-winner, Serena.

where is the community support/that arena should have been at least 50% black/what about black sponsors(Jet mag.,Ebony,Johnson&Johnson............etc) why don't we support our own..THAT INCLUDES THE HIPHOP COMMUNITY
+yvonne waters black people are a minority in England. I know because I'm black and i live here. And there's not enough of us that are tennis fans that have the money to travel down to London. That doesn't mean we don't love Serena and Venus. And anyway, the crowd looked very diverse to me, 15-20 years ago it would have been 99% white. Remember that.

Edinamobong Eton imo, venus is more attractive than that beast of a woman serena (not just physically, but personality as well). I am not to familiar with the Russian women, but kerilenko is much more pretty.
