Volleyball was conceived as a less strenuous alternative to basketball. The sport became popular very quickly and made its Olympic debut in 1964.

@@Emma_gbri My country Brazil has won 11 Olympic Medals Women and Men in Volleybaal since Los Angeles 84 until Tokyo 2020. In FIVB Worldchampionship Brazil has won 10 medals Women and Men together since 1982 until 2018, 3 Gols , 6 Silver and 1 Bronze. Brazil is better than USA in Volleybaal

And 4 years after Serbia eliminated USA in semifinal match but USA also got their revenge to Serbia in Tokyo winning straight sets to proceed in Gold Medal Match and crushed their rivals in the olympics ,brazil and got the 🏅

Alas. Why didn't we have Tom and Hooker in 2016 Olympics? Can't just rely on Akinradewo. She's injured, the team suffered after she left the court, and lost to Serbia on semi-final. Having many new faces and too few key players in squat is dangerous. If this squat played in 2016 again, we would definitely be in final right now.

No. You are not always the best team in the world, Serbia has improved drastically over the past four years.. Just look at their past games this olympics. Jealousy really hurts eh?

+Drgnn 94 if you are too tired, just don't read and reply to comments. I simply like 2012 squad better than Rio one, though they do have some great rising stars. It's a comparison to self not to other country. And I like Serbia too, great potential and such a marvelous improvement! Rooting for them for the gold. As for jealousy, it never crossed my mind and maybe it's some projection ? :)
