Volleyball was conceived as a less strenuous alternative to basketball. The sport became popular very quickly and made its Olympic debut in 1964.

Zachary Underwood yeah because of her height, wich I relate to, but look at her defense on games, you can tell how awesome she is just by looking at her....and yes you're right, Destinee is a beast on the court but that's because of her amazing height, and also she's younger than Logan Tom, wich has been in 4 olympics already, that's why she's the real Queen

No no, you got it wrong, I love Logan Tom. She really helps the passing. She's more of a tipper and a block user if you know what I mean. She doesn't really slam the volleyball when she attacks like hooker. But I think she's a huge asset to the USA team

Please listen carefully to how the ball bounces off the block in minute 37:33 at the score of 24-23 for Turkey. After the spike you can hear the ball coming to the hands of the American women. The referee must have heard it and yet she gave the point to the USA. Otherwise Turkey would have won the set.

I gotta say,Berg is a really under appreciated player in this match. Look at the way she flies at every shanked or missed ball. Even though she doesn't quite get the ball up all the time, she fully commits to going after every ball. Damn good reflexes!

when doing under hand you have to use your least dominant hand when holding the ball take a deep breath and with your domant hand start from the back and swing your hand and hit the ball

i don't think that turkey is aggressive enough on the ball. their libero is good and they have strategies but they are not physically very strong.

i think power in this case matters because the usa has really good technique and they're strong. but yes, normally it's about the technique.
