That's the weird part about runway fashion: it doesn't really work anywhere else besides the runway, which confuses me when it comes to selling the clothing.

underwaterseas to my understanding, I think the runway is like an art gallery. I don't think the clothes are meant to be purchased and worn, I think it's just a place for artists to display their work

I'm no fashion expert, but the runway is where clothing designers display their creativity. It's a social event for models, designers, photographers, etc. The designers are promoting their selves, not necessarily the clothing.

yeah it's more like, if a store or a brand likes a certain pattern or fabric used for the clothing on the runway, they can contact the designer and work with them to make wearable clothes to sell in stores :)

Some runway clothes are absolutely gorgeous, but there are a lot of designers that go for crazy just to have people talking, instead of their pieces actually being new and innovative

guys ladylike works really hard on their videos, and I love saf and I'm subscribed to her too, but it must be demoralizing for ladylike to just read all the new comments on a video are about saf. Not all runway shows aim to sell clothes. I.e for Haute Couture, there will be many outfits and eye make up that is meant to showcase creativity and art. For instance, Alexander McQueen, one of the most creative designers to have lived, during the 90s used to make collections specifically for the runway and not to sell.
