Someone else may have mentioned this, but Dutch is back in the Predator Hunting Grounds video game. The lore is that after Predator (87), he became somewhat obsessed with finding and killing other predators. He worked as a mercenary in South America trying to track them, and was eventually hired by the government to help them track predators and get their technology. I don’t know if that game is canon, but I think it’s a pretty cool story.
Would love to see a James Bond game series kinda like the Arkham games. A separate universe from everything else, but it takes inspiration and characters from famous moments from the movies
That’s be awesome. And if they’re dead set on using bond villains like blofeld again can we get a return of 006 Alec Trevelyan again too? Even if it’s in a game I’d love to see another take on that character and see him return. There’s so much potential for a cool story with that character.
If the James Bond franchise is set on cannabalizing and reusing it’s villains, can we get 006 Alec Trevelyan back in the game or movie? There’s so much potential there.
I paused this video when you said it was over then came back half an hour later like “I bet they prattled on about random stuff for a bit” and indeed they did
When the third Tom Holland Spider-Man film comes out.. Since it potentially deals with the multiverse.. Could y’all cover James Cameron’s Spider-Man script/treatment? An in-depth discussion would be great. And I’d love to see Ben edit footage together for it.
Dan Trachtenberg directed a cinematic cutscene for the new player experience in Warframe last year, that's probably why hes listed as 'directing' Warframe
I kinda like the New Mutants, it was like an 80s throwback horror film but related to the x-men. it had its quirks but I enjoyed it, even though they tried to bury it…
I thought about how mason was complaining with Dark Phoenix how it felt like they just grabbed a bunch of useless rando mutants with no reason and I kinda liked how New Mutants feels like it deliberately picked specific mutants who would fit its metaphor.
I read all the chaos walking books when I was a kid and it was some of the most enjoyable books I ever read. I thought this film would never come. I dont care if its utter dogshite, the fact that it's been made and being released has already put me in a great mood. I cant wait to see this movie, good or bad.
Thought the same for percy jackson and oof. Never before have I wished to scrub a film from my brain, all bad movies I would have rather seen. Not those. For your sake I pray it's better.
The first Cloverfield was one of the best movies I've ever seen, horror or otherwise- if you think either of the sequels were better you need to re-watch that first one
There's this moment early on in Old Mutants, when I knew I was in for some badly written trash. The Russian racist girl says something like: 'Is this what you did with your daddy?', and she screams 'Don't you use my father's name!' Well, she didn't, now did she? Really, I don't know how that ended up in the finished product, considering all of the rewrites and reshoots.
Here's how The New Mutants tie to the X-Men films universe: The New Mutants: "Reyes consults her employers, *the Essex Corporation,* who instruct her to collect Dani's DNA and have her euthanized." X-Men: Apocalypse: "In a post-credits scene, men in black suits visit the Weapon X facility to retrieve an X-ray and a blood sample marked "Weapon X", on behalf of the *Essex Corporation."* *This doesn't save the film in any way,* but ties it to the First Class timeline; which does dark phoenix before X3, so you can still tie the two timelines together by ignoring Dark Phoenix, since jean dies in X3, haunts Logan in The Wolverine tying to DoFP, connecting first class which sequels into DoFP, Apocalypse, which ties to The New Mutants through Essex.
For me it was Masie Williams' one that bothered me. Took me forever to realise she was supposed to be Irish. Before that I thought she was doing American, then Scottish, then I thought "Why is she putting on a bad English accent when she is English?"
@@marvelfantasy472 Really? Could've fooled me it was so bad it was impossible to tell. I only assumed she was Irish because she was Catholic and her fear was the priest who branded her a witch. And yes I know not every Catholic is Irish but try to think from the perspective of a lazy screenwriter here.
I hope Matthew was sympathising with the actor when he said "these poor people" and not as a derogatory. The tone did seem like he was saying people are stuck in tiny rooms and unable to go out during the pandemic or something rather then "oh look at these plebs"
I liked it okay. But it feels so unfinished. Like it has missing scenes and they had to use whatever footage they had shot to invent a conflict in this movie. But I do like some of the characters and its weird YA tone.
Obviously, it's not an easy situation the whole Chadwick situation. But the right thing to do is recast. Because essentially if you don't you're retiring the role if T'Challa which would be terrible. There has been many Batmen, many Spider-Man, and there should be many Black Panthers. It's hard, but it would be way harder for everyone if they killed him too.
New(Old) Mutants was fun...well the first 2/3rds, it felt different and interesting...and then it goes full CGI big action thing and just fell off a cliff. It has a few problems but i enjoyed better the Dark Phoenix. Also more hints to a Mr Sinister we'll never see...
I don't think it was as bad but felt like New Mutants fell victim to the same fate as Fant4stic where the final act feels like it belongs in an entirely different movie. That had to have been a forced reshoot, I refuse to believe it was supposed to end in a fight with a giant bear. Also was I the only one who found certain parts of the movie uncomfortable? There are two parts that stick out in my mind. The first being the shower scene. Now I don't wanna sound like a prude, I know both actresses were over the age of 18 and you barely see anything. Still their characters are supposed to be teenagers and the amount of sideboob that was on display did seem a bit...odd. And then there was Magik's whole backstory. Maybe it's just me, but I feel like it was heavily implied that the group of guys who kidnapped her also raped her juding by the fact she drew pictures of hands reaching out to grab her and I think they were tearing her clothes off, or maybe I'm remembering things wrong. I'm guessing they did that to show why she's such a bitch and why she trusts no-one other tha herself but...was implied rape really necessary? I feel like you can have a character be an asshole without sexual assault as well.
For Predator, we need a different thing. A different idea than just hunting humans in a jungle (concrete or otherwise) again. Show like a war between different aliens (not xenomorphs) and the predators. Or do something weird like it's predator but its set on a World of Warcraft fantasy world and then just don't explain it.
But that would ignore to core premise of the Predator in which they are the predators and we're the prey. If they're not hunting us for sport, then what's the point?
I thought Dutch was meant to have died a few months after the events of the first movie. It became cannon when they were doing predator 2. ??? ah who cares at this stage.
I think new mutants is by far not the worst x-men movie, but not the best, I think there is enough there that it could have been good, I would love to see the original vision but alas, I think it will be a cult classic
There's no way they're going to split the *Black Panther* mantle between a man and a woman. That's a big mistake from a social media standpoint alone. *Marvel* would get attacked from various elements saying it's tantamount to declaring _a woman can't handle the job.¹ Pragmatically speaking, your example would be ideal. If I were running *Wakanda,* that's exactly what I would do. But if I were running *Marvel,* I would not fill the role by a man _and_ a woman. It has to be one or the other. •••✺●✺••• *¹* ─ Particularly if they give _part_ to *Shuri.* A fan favorite.
My guess as to why Warner Bros. is worried about WW84 “going stale” if the don’t release it soon is that this version of Max Lord looks to be modeled on Donald Trump, and having Wonder Woman beat him up won’t feel as cathartic and transgressive once he is out of office in a few months.
I want them to just recast, don’t want a Shuri centric film. She was never THAT interesting to me. It’s like having a Bond movie and making Q the main protagonist in a sequel.
So this is where Matthew Vaughn lives (maybe moved since 2017 but gives a good indication of his "standards"): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zCXhqyTSdVQ.html oof
The New Mutants was bad because of the same reason why most bad movies are, it had too many cooks in the kitchen. They may not have re-shot a bunch of stuff, but even worse they had like 7 writers re-write the 1st guy's script like 7 different times, & even worse than that they kept the original writer on for the whole thing & they just kept having him try to work around 7 different people's opinions & notes/re-writes. I swear It baffles Me how producers still think a bunch of people's opinion is gonna be better than 1 or 2 men's (or woman's YOU SEXIST!) vision.
