This is our first day in Bohol, Philippines. We took the ferry from Cebu city and came to Bohol, at Tagbilaran city. Our first day visit was incredible! Filipinos are friendly, the city is beautiful and we could try many food specialties.

I didn't expect malunggay to taste good as ice cream coz at its core it can sometimes taste slightly bitter. But malunggay is very nutritious. Should actually be a superfood. After giving birth, most mothers would eat dishes with malunggay because it helps with making more milk.

Never heard of ice cream from malunggay/moringa. It's a versatile plant with nutritious leaves. Usually used in cooking. Ice cream is a new one!

I’m from Australia and I visited Cebu and Boracay and Bohol and Manila in June and July 2023. Philippines is a lovely country perhaps a bit exaggerated! I loved the stray cats and dogs on the beaches and markets too .

Combine soy sauce, calamansi & chilli for dipping barbeque chicken / pork, fried fish or fried chicken or use vinegar & chilli Use fish sauce & chilli for soup like singing bulalo or nilagang baboy

Malunggay is a vegetable leaves, it gives alot of health benefits, the flower and the fruit also are edible, in northern luzon they used to mix with other vegetables and its delicous and healthy.

Hahah, you dont eat the chili, it is small but its super super hot hahahah, its supposed to cut in half using your spoon in the sauce and the lemonsito or lemon will be squeeze to blend in the sauce. Citric and hot. 😎🤙

Malunggay is Moringa, and it is normally added to soups like Chicken Tinola. Guyabano, on the other hand, is soursop, exotic fruit and very healthy.

That's a Guyabano fruit juice it's different from coconut.. it's like chewy slimy fruit and the skin is green with bit of torns.

Hi Dan and Lyn have you visited my homeland Baguio City? It is the summer capital of the Philippines. I have never places only my Baguio and Manila airport leaving Philippines when I was 14 years old I have returned 1x when I turned 18. I lived in San Francisco California more than my lifetime. Maybe someday I visit these places in your video❤😊

We didn't go to Baguio yet.. but hope that we will have the opportunity to visit your homeland and show you the place that you must miss so much ❤️ We read many comments from Filipinos that are in San Francisco. I don't know but we consider malunggay as vegetable but when I want to describe it perplexed me as well because we take malunggay from a tree. It's a leaf, small leaf in one big leaf. Hahahah. I don't even know how to describe it. It's known for its many nutrients best for the body. It's called miracle tree because of how it's good for the human body. I don't know if its moringa or horseradish tree. Since it grows anywhere in the country, many mixed it to bread, ice cream and other food products. The leaf has a bitter taste and I hope it tastes good in ice cream and bread. The torta is a Filipino bread. I don't know if it could be found in other countries. It has the texture of a chiffon cake. It easily falls of. If you see Julie's bakeshop, that's one heck of a Filipino bakeshop and maybe, you'd like try the products there. ^_^ Always take care you two. Hope you'll get to see the tarsier, chocolate hills and Panglao. Can't help to be envious. Sending you love and prayers!

You need to press or cut in pieces for chili with the soy sauce and calamansi it’s the common sauce in the Philippines as it normalize any oily food you eat!!!

Wow nice to know! Thank you. It's so interesting, I just checked on internet to see the meaning of the colors and symbol. The color blue represents nobility The color white for purity The color red for courage And the symbol is a combination of the island's history and famous landmarks (natural beauty and chocolate hills).
