The Kobe Beef style restaurant originated in Japan. I was station in South Korea, Vietnam, and on Okinawa Japan 1968-72. I ate at the first Kobe beef restaurant on Okinawa, and a dinner like this, was only $3 dollars, and fifty cents! It was inevitable it would reach the world, starting with Benihana. Note: The first Hotel Hilton was built in Seoul Korea in 1970, and the master chief was a Korean, U.S. Army mess hall cook, I use to know. We were all so proud of him! 🥰💖🧑‍🍳
