This week I am playing with the idea of starting with a five sided shape in the centre and making a log cabin inspired block to celebrate my Yorkshire heritage by creating a white rose.

Absolutely love this. Thank you so much. ❤️🙏 Adore the five-sided raw-edgeness of it. My fave WW to date. I have to say, I was so engrossed in the video that I’ve just discovered a load of sandwich crumbs and a healthy dollop of mayo in my hair, which was (unusually for me) flowing loose. But it was totally worth the now-necessary vacumming! 😂

Thank you 😊 I wish I knew how to do it myself but I am lucky that I have an excellent, pro barefoot farrier. My Icey has always been barefoot and has beautiful feet, the older boy was iron shod his whole life until he came to us a few years ago. It took a while but now his feet are great, though he has hoof boots if we go anywhere stony. 😁❤️

Hello k3n - I am fairly new subscriber, and right now I am have started to make a Biscornu. I will let you know how it goes. I live in San Antonio, Texas and the eclipse was beautiful. It was over cast but the sun was leaking out over us for a bit. But when it was totally covered it looked like it was 8-9 pm outside, it stayed dark close to 3 minutes then started to lighten up again. The birds were going crazy here. We live by a wooded area and they were flying in circles and were silent the deer peeked out looked around and retreated to cover. Love watching you!! 💖😻

Love your natural scrappy palette. Laughing at your musing on the appropriate wishes protocol for an eclipse. Perhaps “I hope you had a triffid free eclipse…” Have you ever read the book The Trouble with Lichen by the same author as The Day of the Triffids? My dad was a keen science fiction reader when I was growing up and this was one of the books I particularly loved as it has an ahead of its time view of the role of women. Enjoying stitching wonkily around my resist dyed leaves fabric to make a little pouch with an unconventional approach to the zip. Cheers, Christine

The French always wish everyone a 'bon' whatever, the funniest I ever heard was we were sitting with friends in a restaurant and someone had to leave for an appointment to have the septic tank emptied at her home. As she got up to leave, several people wished her 'bonne vidange' which literally means 'have a good emptying' 😂 I have not read The Trouble with Lichen but since I love lichen, I think I should. I hope you have triffid free stitching 😁❤️

I will have to try this .I wonder if doing the last few pieces around the wonky rose in a dark colour would make the rose stand out more. I have done all 14 of the Monday ones . I find Monday's exciting nowadays! It has sometimes been difficult to come up with something because I am basing mine on my local community in St. Ives. Fortunately I can base some of them on the artists of St. lves
@k3n.clothtales
@k3n.clothtales 2 месяца назад
I think that's a great idea, the rose is more 'realistic' towards the centre, the bigger pieces round the edge lost the shape a little. Lucky you living in St Ives, I have visited a few times and loved it. ❤️
