Hey Kids,
Way back in nineteen-tickity-boo I had a fine idea for a way for my friend Ira Pelletier from The Wood Life Goods in Ladysmith, BC (incidentally also the hometown of Pamela Anderson I now know...) to collaborate on an interesting pair of videos.
You see, Ira and I both do a bit of wood work and leather work. Ira being far more proficient at the leather than I, and I being far more excessively over-designy a wookworker than he, though we would split the design betwixt ourselves with Ira doing the Leather and me making the woodwork far more complicated than the finished product would suggest.
Along the way, I came up with a great way to safely round over the end of a dowel at the router table, and find the exact centre point of a dowel!
Then I reached out to Dave at Walrus oil, and he rather generously hopped on board and supplied myself with their fantastic Tung Oil based Cabin Walls and Hardwood Floors (Links below) finish, as well as some pretty rad swag; t-shirt worn in the video, a beer thingie, some lip balm, and some hand salve. I thought that was very kind of him. Not only that, but he hooked Ira up with a similar pile of goodies for his end of the collaboration. Thanks Dave!
