Wood Turning a Seedling/Herb Pot With a Natural Edge 

I cut a partly green mountain ash log into a couple of blanks out in the garage and brought them into the house. The change of temperature caused it to immediately start checking so I decided to chuck one up right away. As I was cutting the shape, I thought it would be a good piece to use as a pot for seedlings or herbs.
