UPDATE
Contest has ended! I will be trying to go live Tuesday March 16th at 7PM EST to review all entries, gather feedback and answer some questions. Please join me if you can or catch it after it posts as a replay. I say trying because I don't know for sure if the iternetbat home will hold the feed! If not I will record a review the drawing and a FAQ section based on comments and post it by 10pm EST!
I'm currently verifying all entries and writing them out to draw old school style since I cant find an app that will accept 70 plus names with entries between 1 and 15 each....
I will do another drawing based on a single video after I reach 5000 subscribers!

I love doing woodgrain tumblers. I like the textures you created. I have never thought about putting alcohol ink on the vinyl stickers! What a great idea! I'm definitely going to try this!

Just remember they stay best on a matte finish vinyl that's dried overnight preferably and in really do recommend putting them over epoxy even though I didn't here.... but for a beginner I'd suggest it.....

Alcohol inks are pretty forgiving really! Deffinitly try some of these techniques out!

wow two tutorial in 1 day - I love doing the wood grains - this was my first tumbler I did & the ship lap was my 5th or sixth one - only been doing tumbler for about 4 months - do you make your own decals ? or did you get them off of google - - this is great - thanks for the tips TYVM for doing these for us # ink week

I guess it's your brush that gives it that wood grain effect? Very cool Tumblr I'd say definitely for a man. Apologies to women hunters.p.s. I'm really not too familiar with tumblers do they come with lids to avoid spills? OR are they just cups? Thanks in advance

I prefer the chip brush, however a sponge brush or fluffier makeup brush will work as well, I just find the chip brushes to give them the best texture with less trips around the cup.....

Ive used TH products in the past, and ran into them fading considerably after putting on my first layer of epoxy...or....the color completely changing if I went to seal it. Have you ran into that before?

The purples often turn blue and the browns often turn green, sometimes they turn back but not always. Espresso is notorious for turning green. If you want to seal inks kamar varnish followed by a regular sealer is the best order, but even that doesnt guarantee they won't change.it's not just the TH inks all of the lines have colors that change.... this is why I don't seal but I do make sure my resin is a UV resistant resin....

I am feeling soo defeated when it comes to woodgrain. Ive never had problems with bubbles/microbubbles appearing AFTER the epoxy is applied, except when it comes to woodgrain tumblers. I mix correctly, wait for bubbles to disappear, apply making sure my finger application gets ride of any rogue bubbles, torch.. looks great.. until i come back to add decals or another coat.. where are these bubbles coming from? I have even torched, sat and waited 20 min, lightly torched again. I'm not over heating. They're not. Fish eyes, they're sneaky little microbubbles that appear outta. No where. Any idea what I might be doing wrong? Thanks! #OopsSheDidItAgain #InkWeek #InkQueen

I dont typically recommend epoxy brands because my results and what I use changes sooo frequently. I'm in NY and our weather swings so much throughout the year sometimes what works this morning won't work tonight. I'm currently using ccdiy turbo and hoggspeed and a regular ccdiy.
