A couple of months ago, lead runner went wrong way at Woodhouse...... and everybody naturally followed. 😆🙈 Ps. Don't know if you realise, you were in the presence of running nobility. You passed World Record holder Hilary at 21:39. She's an absolute legend.
It really was a stunning morning. Really pleased with the recording of it, I know action cameras have an awful jitter in low light but my hardy action 2 did a grand job. That's hilarious, I'd have been gutted lol and no, I'd no idea. Will watch back over later. I could have ran past Claire from steps and not had a clue once I set off haha
@@TheRunningWhaleHillary is the senior runner dressed in red at 21:39. She’s oldest person in the world to complete 10 official marathons in 10 days. Hils is about 83 yrs old now and shows no signs of stopping - a truly incredible lady. Changing subject, I reluctantly sat out ParkRun this weekend due to the apparent removal of records and reasoning behind it. To say new runners are intimidated by being overtaken is so ridiculous. ParkRun is for everybody, regardless of pace, colour, creed, gender, sexuality or religion.
Bloomin heck that's some going. Deffo legend status 🥰. Yes we all know why Parkrun have done it but aren't allowed to talk about it. Taking away from thousands to please a couple is the most frustrating thing. How these records were allegedly putting people off is beyond me, half the people that attend didn't even know they existed, only the people it mattered to did. Anyways, rant over lol I was weak and caved but won't be making any more parkrun related purchases. I'm there for the community, not the corporate x
