That's a lot of tons. I just last week bought the Campcraft tin and bag kit. Only came with 6 tins. I feel cheated lol. I chose it. Wasn't aware of this kit. Very good video, thank you for taking the time to share it. I'll still be looking into this kit.

I also bought the pantry plus. Love it. But I bought the squirrel cooker as well and it slides right into the pantry bag so I have the ability to cook meat over the fire right with the rest of my pantry items. Awesome video bud, thanks.

I carry dehydrated veggies, dry beans different types or mixed up , different dried meats , jerked meats . Wear a chest rig , with my choice, depending on what critters I'm sharing space with , but always have a smallbore to smaller grocery list , sometimes plus bear country .

First off, thank you for your 23 years of service. I am looking forward to your M.A.L.I.C.E pack load out. I have never served in the military but I do like surplus gear because it's tough and I too am not too concerned about weight if I can carry it I will. But my point is it will be nice to see someone with real world experience show how a piece of true military gear works and not just a weekend warrior such as myself making it up as they go along. Thanks.

Happy Easter! Great video. As always lots of info and ideas we can use. My car pack stays in the car, and has everything but the kitchen sink in it... (except food) , and a small ultralite empty pack, too, so I can transfer only what I need for carrying any distance. So your list of food is something I will definitely be adding to it. Plus, the car pretty much stays packed with our camping gear now... We are ready for a quick trip whenever! God bless you and keep making these videos! PS- Love that dog~ and you. Stay safe.

A pathfinder 64 oz bottle will fit inside your 48 oz cup , but I'm thinking pathfinder is going to make a bushpot about the same time as the 48oz cup you have , so I'm waiting for it to get to self-reliance outfitters, if so I may buy more tins to fill the pot up with and add 1 more to go into my pathfinder French press , just so I'll have plenty of coffee with me

Another awesome video. I usually keep mine in a stuff sack and keep packaged noodle and potatoes with deer jerky and Vienna sausages for meat. But I have been interested in that kit for years so I'm glad to see it in use. I prefer the old school canvas and what not so that kit is it. Thanks again for another great one.

Thanks, Sarge. I recently did a show & tell of the Campcraft version on my RU-vid channel. Malcolm’s coffee bags will hold three 16 Oz tins, too. I guess my biggest issue with the tins is that once you’ve used them and they’re empty, they still take up the same amount of pack space - unlike heavy duty ziplock bags, which may or may not be an issue depending on what they’re being used for. I think they’re good for reenacting where I’m actually setting up a pantry in my wall tent and everything’s getting there in my vehicle. For backpacking, not only are they heavier, but as I’ve said, they don’t pack down after they’re empty. Keep up with the videos, Sarge!

That set of tins is a good bit of kit. I used the prepackaged meals any pasta, soup, or meat, tuna , salmon or my favorite Spam. They pack better in my sustainment pouch. Safe journeys.

I got the pantry plus. Definitely worth the money Kinda wish I would of got the 16oz tins before they changed to 12oz. The 48oz bush pot is quickly becoming my favorite. I slide singles of beef jerky down the sides for more food options. Good video

If you're using the built in mic for your camera, scotch tape a small piece of foam over it. Should help reduce wind noise. As for me carrying food. I went with freezer bag cooking self made dehydrated meals. I stored everything in an ursack bag for protection from critters and bears. For oatmeal, I would use ziplock bags and then pre measure the amount of quick cook oatmeal and brown sugar in each bag. Made things easy. For winter camping, I would usually pre cook most of my dinner meats and I found pre cutting them was the way to go as it allowed you to warm up and cook your food in stages. Because if your eating say a pork chop, it would start out nice and hot, but half way through it would be getting cold again.

My pack has a water bottle pocket on each side. I use 1 side for my water bottle, and the other side has a second water bottle in it. The second water bottle has mountain house in it and it gives me the option to carry more water when it’s empty.

I like how youre able to fit so much in a pack that isnt huge. im always thinking small and minimal bulk. but we always seem to need more than we can carry on our backs dependin on what were doin and how long of course.

do the cans have good seals , I want to put bacon grease ,butter and alive oil ? that ruck is way way over priced for no reason but greed ! bocko, like that means something? veggie oil destroys cell wall ,use the bacon fat and don't listen to the cammies about diet (semi keto) ! those oatmeal packs would be great if they put some oatmeal in them and very little sugar instead of the other way around !I mix my grand kids instant oats 1/2 with unsweetened oats ! your whole thing is carbs ! ton of sugar !
