This project really "pegged it"! Watch this unique ornament's design as the pegs form an hourglass pattern. A fun assembly with some different methods in segmented turning, enjoy watching this ornament take shape from beginning to end.

No, it is a conversion varnish that I have just started using. So far, it is really great as it dries in 2 hours and is very durable as well as food safe. Thanks for watching, Tom

What is the tool used at 6:35?

My own custom design with custom tool bit grind. Bit is made from high speed steel drill bit blank. I turned my own handle and used a “one-way” adapter for the tool extension. The extension is a “Martel” #3 shank that was modified by milling the underside flat for stability on the tool rest. Hope this helps.

There are ornament stands of all heights that you can purchase. People also use them as overhead fan pulls. This one is a bit big for a shade pull, but I have sold them for that purpose also. Thanks for watching, Tom

Я выдолбил середину орнамента, чтобы он не был таким тяжелым. Обычно его вешают на елку, а тяжелый орнамент может сломать ветку дерева. Спасибо за просмотр, Том
