Thank you for this tip! I'm building a clay wedging table (SUPER HEAVY!) so I'd purchased the casters. Being able to set two simultaneously is ideal.

Maple Bars are my all time favorite, and now you can get them with Bacon. This is a great video, I just watched one using the same type of caster and that's the first thing I thought of was the twisting. Great tip

Can you take the wheels off the bench with them attached like this still? If so I will definitely be doing this

That’s a good one. I will do this to the mobile bases I have on my machines. Also, the wood is kinder to kick than the caster levers.

Nice setup. I wonder if there's a way to recess the assembly under the table about 9 inches? Looks like a definite trip hazard when you're carrying a tray of paint around the table.

I can stand these types of casters. If there's a penny on the ground, or a dried smear of glue somewhere, it might as well be a mountain to the bench legs. I ended up just making my own hinging style so that I get 2.5" of clearance when the wheels are engaged. It's so easy to do, and you can use fat better casters than what these styles put on theirs.... and do it for less money.
