And then Andy covers up the trash can *POOM* and it goes to black.

That was also a way creepier nightmare, because of the cockroaches eating Woody and how Andy was way more hostile; not to mention the camera zooming in on Woody's face while andy was playing with Buzz, looked like a psychological thriller scene.

Video games are developed while the film is in the making. The developers receive what could POSSIBLY be in the film and work from that.

@@basedbattledroid3507 Yeah. Andy was portrayed as way more hostile, while in the nightmare sequence of Toy Story 2, he just seems like he lost the will to live. He speaks in a monotone and has a blank, glassy, almost lifeless look.

Man I would say this and the furnise scene in toy story 3 the 2 darkest toy story moments

I think you don’t understand how both storyboards and pitches work. A storyboard is one of many routes a movie can go, whether they’re small changes like dialogue or an entire scene. And a pitch, well, pitches the scene to the directors, producers, and editors. This was a tape recording of the scene being pitched, and it was accepted.

It’s not the first time he was involved in a nightmare scene in an animated movie. He also worked on The Brave Little Toaster and was the voice of the demonic firefighter clown in Toaster’s nightmare. That particular scene still scares the daylights out of me.

That's right, he died in 2005 after a car accident. He was such an important part of Pixar....

Reckno64 He was the original member of the Brain Trust, alongside the primary directors, and was great for the writing and supervising at the stories, but never got a chance to direct his own movie as he only co-directed Cars , and voiced characters such as Heimleich the catalpellier and Wheezy the squeaky penguin. Joe Ranft died in a car crash when his driver went out of control as they fall to their death, while the 3rd passenger manage to survive but has some injuries on August 16, 2005 when Cars was in the making; The film is dedicated to his memory, alongside the video game tie-in and Tim Burton's Corpse Bride. This would explain why Red the firetruck is crying and was the true heart & soul of PIXAR as mentioned by John Lasseter 😭😔

What do you think was more dark between the furnace scene from the third movie, or the shower scene from "Schindler's List"?

Same when I was little it scared me but not all of it it just the bye woody part scared me the most when I was little but not anymore because I learn that it just a movie

I know. I think they should have kept how they ignore him when he says it, because it would have been a great way to show the fear Woody was feeling of worthlessness and not worth listening to, in his nightmare
