The 100% wool sleeping bag provides the best possible sleep because wool has health and relaxation enhancing qualities.
It's main attribute is the fact wool wicks moisture away from skin unlike synthetics which trap the body's insensible perspiration and create a humid, damp feeling.
What most people don't know is, traditional synthetic sleeping bags and clothing do not allow the body to ground. The reason is, the synthetic material short circuits the subtle electrical currents running along the surface of the skin.
Wool also has other calming effects which are not fully understood. The Linen/Wool study found these two fabrics have a super frequency of 5000 as compared to the human body (healthy) at 100. This means wool raises the frequency of the body and many people have noticed rapid healing and relief of aches and pains when sleeping with wool and linen. Another advantage of the wool sleeping bag is it performs well even in moist/wet weather. It can hold up to 40% water and still keep you warm. This natural fiber, non toxic, all natural sleeping bag is the first and only one of it's kind on the market, setting a new standard in outdoor gear.

And also, as the body puts out moisture through insensible perspiration, the synthetic materials do not allow air to pass easily and thus interrupt the body's ability to regulate temperature and moisture balance. So you often wake up cold and clammy.
The version shown in this video is a prototype. The current modal is viewable at www.woolsleepingbag.com/

Wow... impressive. I have a new project now to transform my down sleeping bag-- shift the down towards the middle and create flaps to tuck under me as you have demonstrated. goose down underneath the body doesnt insulate as wool does so this should work out great. Thank you very much !

Amazing product, need to save up for one. Got a question, the pad you use under the sleeping bag, is it plastic? Does it block the electrostatic connection between you and the earth? Is there an alternative solution?
@LuckySheepOutdoorGear
@LuckySheepOutdoorGear Год назад
The pad is closed cell foam, which is plastic. And yes it does cut off the grounding effect, because it is insulating and not conductive. Lucky Sheep has an alternative, which is a wool felt pad. However, when backpacking it is good to have something that gets you off the ground during wet weather, so this closed cell foam pad would be necessary. There are things you can do such as, bring a 3/4 pad so you legs and feet hang off the end, and use some clothing to put where the pad doesn't go. So part of you would still be in contact with the ground. However even though we are on an insulating pad, there is still grounding effects coming from the Shuman's Field which you are exposed to, as well as the negative ions coming from the moisture in the air such as dew, mist, fog, etc . Also the sleeping bag itself is grounding because wool emits a super frequency and the shell has gemstones embedded in beeswax and pine resin. www.woolsleepingbag.com/product/wool-sleeping-pad/

Very cool sleeping bag, I was actually working on something like this myself, have already bought all the materials - wool is superior to any man-made fabric, at least when it comes to diversity. I like how you have no hood, did not even think of that option! Do you mention the microplastics that are inhaled as you wear on a traditional bag, the plastic left in nature or the process of getting rid of the bag as it becomes garbage at one point? A woolen bag you can just leave in the forest, and it will actually fertilize the soil in a healthy way, if made without toxins :-)

Nice! I wish I could afford it. Also wish it had a built in hood.
@LuckySheepOutdoorGear

It does have a built in hood. Because it is designed to cover your entire head and face. You can breathe inside the bag and the breath heats you even more. Pull the entire top over your head, and there is also a flap to cover the hole at the top. See our new modal here. www.lucky-sheep.com

Nice idea, maybe make one that can keep you in extreme cold weather

What kind of temperatures do you want to sleep in? The Shumann's modal goes down to 15 F. And two bags can be combined to go lower. We also offer a full zippered modal now. Check out our full range at www.lucky-sheep.com

So if I am sleeping on a wooden platform my back will be on the wood? I actually already have it, but I’m disappointed that my back will be directly on the wood all summer unless I find some kind of cushion

Hmmm. It's like an upper quilt (hammock campers) but with wool.
@LuckySheepOutdoorGear
@LuckySheepOutdoorGear 6 лет назад
Yes and it does work well in hammocks. However this idea was being used before hammocks became a 'thing' invented by Ray Jardine.

Hey Patrick…i hear the energy frequency of wool is great but mixing it with some materials like linen cancels that out…Was wondering if you know if it is optimal to mix merino wool and 'normal' wool ?
@LuckySheepOutdoorGear
@LuckySheepOutdoorGear 8 лет назад
+Emma Moore Well I believe the main issue with linens canceling out wool's frequency is when it is mixed in the actual threads....called lindsy woolsey. When the fabics are separate from each other but nearby, it may not be a problem. And they didn't measure in the study differences among different types of wool. Nonetheless, the proof is in the pudding. In my experience and other's who are using this sleeping bag, it is amazingly calming, soothing.

Hi Emma, well it seems to work very well. Linen is the only material that cancels out the wool frequency.

I'd do that with my wool comforter and not turn on the heat to save money. I think a lot people know these techniques.
@LuckySheepOutdoorGear
@LuckySheepOutdoorGear 6 лет назад
Not a lot of people know them actually. Wool had almost died out...which is why you can't find it on the outdoor market.

Why is there that mat underneath? The earth ground is always damp and the bag isn't water resistant; we'll be wet and the bag will probably need to be dried out.
@LuckySheepOutdoorGear
@LuckySheepOutdoorGear 7 лет назад
Any sleeping bag will be effected by the damp ground, true. And a case in point....WOOL will out perform any other fabrics when it is wet and damp. The bag is hydro-phobic which is much better than water resistant. A water resistant bag is counter productive because it hold the body's moisture (insensible perspiration) inside.
