The Wooster Pelican is a roller tray with a difference. This roller tray is well designed and is very useful when using a 4 inch roller and brush at the same time. The Pelican can easily be held with one hand, leaving the other hand free to do the painting. The Pelican holds the roller or the brush, which makes cutting in around edges much easier. The Wooster Pelican can also be used with plastic liners which cost about £1 each, which makes changing the colour of the paint very easy.

***** I was lucky to visit florida and to stumble upon home depot and lowes it was like all my Christmas had arrived I'm still using my first purdy brush that was brought in 2006

+Daron Philpott I used a Purdy brush on my last decorating job, it really was brilliant. I picked up a Picasso recently at the national painting and decorating show, but I have not used that yet. It's amazing what a difference quality decorators tools make to the ease of the job and the quality of the finish. Thanks for the comment ;-)

Wicked kettle I got two of these wish I could fit two brushes on the magnet at once, also the oval brushes swing about on the magnet. I used to use a cheaper version from Harris they only cost a fiver, if you don't want to spend so much...

+justyjust Thanks, have you though about sticking a powerful neodymium magnet to the outside of it to hold your other brush? I wish the magnet was in a different place as I always want to dab any excess paint where my hand is- as that's the part with most support. Thanks for the comment

+Paul J Kimberlee Yes, it's much easier than trying to hold a traditional 4 inch roller tray. I bought mine from Screwfix, it should last a lifetime if it's looked after! Thanks for the comment ;-)

I love using the pelican being easy and comfortable to hold. The brush magnet though is a gimmick and you get paint riding up the ferrule of the brush, something I really hate, so I don't tend to use the magnet function.

i was thinking, link it through your belt and when you're on a ladder painting the exterior of your house. you've spared up your hand to hold on. min those rungs though.

+TheJeremyevans I think you can get scuttles that attach to the ladder, which might be a better option.I'm not keen on working from ladders as I know a guy that fell from one and died!Thanks for the comment ;-)

After about 3 or 4 hours hanging on to it, my hand is so cramped up I can hardly hold on to my coffee cup at break time. Interesting idea, but I tried it for a while and now it's in a box at the back of my storage locker. I might use it again on a small job at the top of a ladder.
